[This device. Is absolutely. Fantastic. And he is going to do everything in his power to hide his absolute glee at being able to use it.]
I'll get right to the point. My name is Donald Draper, Don to my friends, and I am looking for a job in sales. Or more specifically advertisement.
This would be the part where I offer references, but ending up here-
[And being incredibly out of his depth]
Well. I've got some sample specs and a portfolio and I have skill. And if you happen to be from my time and know Coca Cola or Kodak or Lucky Strike cigarettes then you've probably seen my work. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have. I can either be reached here or I'll be at the museum helping with the posters and advertisements for it.
[The longest pause.]
...Anybody else think this thing is amazing? Or is it just me?

We don't have anything like this where I'm from.
[Yet. But.]
It's useful. You can use this instead of a secretary can you believe that?

Re: ( text | un: kenobi )
I don't really see the point of asking everyone like this. It's weird. If this place had a more concrete directory I'd call these businesses directly.
It's more personal. But everyone told me this was the best way to get in contact with people
Also everyone can see things like this. That doesn't bother any of you?

Everybody has their cigarette brand, that one's mine.

meaning if you want a brand out there, I could help. I like the idea of Moonblessed thriving.

I help people who want to sell their wares. Kodak takes pictures. They make cameras. I helped them rename the device they use to take pictures to something more whimsical.
For instance. What's your favorite clothing brand?
[Part curious, part genuine hope that she'll give him something to look for in terms of a job.]

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the practice of dress branding. Where I'm from is decidedly less like this city.
What are your cameras like? Are they similar to what this city has, with the glass lenses and screens?

Unfortunately I'm not interested in advertising what I do and would prefer to keep a lower profile, but if anyone I know might be I'll point them in your direction.
Re: text | j.valentine
Don't suppose you're from 1963.
[probably not. He frowns at this before shrugging.]
What do you do? If you don't mind my asking.

Sorry, wasn't even born yet ('74). It was 2009 before I came here.
I train people in mixed martial arts, mod weapons, and create ammunition -- as well as explosives.
Would also defuse explosives if it was needed, but it hasn't been.

Yeah? Communism is still a big problem where I'm from.
[Pause. So wait. they win?]
How do you feel about that? About the USSR being destroyed?
[So...they win? Obviously. IT's not a thing. Hooray. Holy shit that's whole new groups of people. That's new products. Disney jumped in to Japan after the war -if that happened are people jumping into Russian markets? They've got to be desperate for capitalism over there.
Damn. That's a whole new market. Hooray USA.]
