Who gave me superpowers?!

[The camera flips from Nightwing's masked face around to a doorway. The door is lying on the ground, ripped clean off its hinges because Nightwing was in a hurry.

It's his first Sanguis...]

I'm not Superman! I don't want to be Superman! No offense to the big guy, but I've been working my whole life to perfect my acrobatics, my detective work, my martial arts, and now-- all of that-- is just going to waste?

[He is not Superman, but he's starting to feel like Superboy circa five years ago.]

Whatever. Now I have to figure out the exact extent of this stupid, stupid development so I don't accidentally kill somebody.

Who's got some heavier-duty doors I can rip off? This one is a good standard control. Actually, I have no idea what the control for this experiment would look like, just that I want to be gathering a lot of data.

[In other words, who wants a fight?]

That better be sarcasm you're responding with because it's sarcasm you're responding to.

Yeah, it's sarcasm. Mostly, the weights thing is an actual suggestion. At the very least, there are a few places here that are set up with machines that have more weight than what's considered normal.

[She does pause for a moment, before deciding to add something else. ]

Also, just putting this out there, but you might not end up with this super strength every Sanguis moon. Sometimes our moonblessing effects aren't consistent. I know that doesn't really help for this time, but it's at least something to check when the triple moon comes about this month.

More data to collect. [He tries not to sound pleased, but he does enjoy learning, figuring things out, solving mysteries. Second nature to him now.]

Yeah, I know what you mean. Even before showing up here my whole definition of normal kinda got changed by a lot. [ Kinda hard not to when you found out you went to school with a super strong half-alien and evil pink monsters show up and also bringing literally everyone on a planet back to life is actually doable.

At his other question, she shrugs a little.]

Yeah. It's nothing too embarrassing. Mostly what's not always consistent is these. [ She gestures to the wolf ears.] Sometimes I just get the aggressive parts of Sanguis with no visible changes. And then a couple of times I've just turned into a dragon person instead.

Though all of that has been a lot more recent than other things. [She'll just... not bring up the increased desire for sex. Not really something that she needs to go into right now and also not one of the more variable effects of the moonblessing for her. ]

[He laughs cheerfully.]

I already knew Earth was not the only planet supporting life in the universe, so that at least was one shock dodged.

Seems to me there's a lot of distance between what you've got now and dragon person... but I seem to be mostly hitting the aggressive parts. I haven't noticed any, uh, cosmetic changes.

But thanks for the head's up on that. That might save me a heart attack down the line.

Don't mention it, all of us were confused about it at first. And with new stuff sometimes showing up, it really makes it hard to just put together a list of what can happen. Like, I was here for months before the whole dragon thing happened for the first time.
