Well, considering the unusual flow of time, I thought it was relevant to speak of this now.

I was wondering how many of you are familiar with the concept of alternative timelines and realities. Merely for a pure discussion standpoint, or if you had a curiosity without really any understanding of it.

I suppose in my way, it's to clear my mind. Sort it out and such.

Talk to me, then. Because I may be in a similar position.

[ She's curious though. ]

Is this someone from your world, or someone from another?

I'll do my best, love. You are a vampire, though... a future you have yet to see would still be something you'd have to wait to reach, but—

Anyroad... what is troubling you about your situation with this person, then?

[ Her expression falters— so it is similar. ]

Aye. I don't want to forget either. But people have... more often than not.

[ She looks a bit pained. ]

.. there's also the problem of people being from other worlds. Is that possible to bridge where you come from? If we could remember them after we leave, but not reach them... that would make us suffer.

[ That just makes her smile wryly. ]

If it makes you feel any better, you weren't the only one. But I'd rather people forget that place than recall it, anyroad.

[ Though this is interesting. ]

Infinite Corridor, is it? What does it do?

I am too. Suppose it means some things can be found again, even if they're forgotten. Which... I suppose, could work in your favour.

[ This is interesting though... ]

Was your father a researcher as well? That's a bit of an intense theory, isn't it? And... does a Hell have anything to do with what you're looking for?

Heh. At least it isn't mine own world, then. You'd have seven hells to find.

Your father sounds intriguing. I imagine in a better world, that sort of person would be able to teach many others after him. But this isn't a conversation about him, is it.

So— do you feel like you could use this to connect timelines and memories, Adrian? So you could remember the memories of this place, and have whoever you're thinking of— to do the same, once you leave?

[ She'll have to ask him more about his family sometime— exploring the castle gave her a good idea on how they functioned, but... ]

I see.

I suppose the question here is, will you be able to master this Infinite Corridor in this place at all? Before you end up being drawn back to your own world and existence, or your companion does?

I know this might sound... short-sighted but— if it takes away from the time you do have with the person you care for— shouldn't you make the most of what you have here first? Especially with the risk of forgetting. We mostly remember when we return to this place, after all.

[ She just doesn't want him spending time trying to figure out something that could take away from what he does have and could enjoy. ]
menphina: (if it rubs off)

Fair enough.

[ It's kind of why she rarely sleeps... ]

I'm guessing you have more stamina than a human, so I might not have to nag you to rest. But who is this person who has you so taken that you'd navigate a place that could even lead to hell for them?
