Ehhh? I still think this is some sort of a joke. More like cruel and unusual punishment! And undeserved punishment too! The reports weren't that late... [By her standards.] And I don't want to go to any classes or do research. Is there someone else that can do that and given me a very short version of everything else...Taichoouuuu? I’m sorry? I’ll get right to those reports… in a bit? It’s not my fault the girls got in the way and knocked the ink over the paper! They have a mind of their own! I swear! Listen to them at night! They plot things!

[But those pale blue eyes turn away, and she frowns. She's not an idiot- lazy tendencies aside.]

Ne, but, this isn’t the human world, as it isn't the same as last time… and I might have been drinking a little bit of sake last night, but it wasn’t that much…

[But this is Rangiku. She can drink plenty of people under the table. She leans back a little, shinigami attire perhaps a little strange looking for some, although it may be familiar in style for others, and gives a flick of her hair over her shoulder.]

Oi, hello? Is there anyone out there? It would be pretty boring if there weren’t anyone else… That would mean I would have to talk to myself. I've never heard of a place called Prismatica, let alone a whole different planet... There better be sake here.

That's pretty much the main option, until someone can figure out a way to get us back to our own worlds. We just have to... keep on keeping on!

There's a lot of thinking that needs to be done in this place, pal. [He says with a sigh.]

[Which is and isn't true. Rangiku can be quite intelligent, when she puts her mind to it. Otherwise, she tends to steer more towards lazy and trying to get others to go things, which sometimes is exactly what her master plans are.]

Ne, do you know about people who have left though?

[trenchdoting]

That must be one busy captain!

[He chuckles. Gumshoe on the other hand, thinks that he's thought things through enough, but it ends up being Edgeworth and that lawyer Phoenix Wright who outthink and correct him.]

Oh yeah, that's a good thing to ask about too! See, as far as we can tell, no one's been able to leave this planet under their own power. I know some people who've gone from here, but they just poof away someday, without any explanation. Some people do end up back here eventually and remember this place. Apparently while we're here, it's like no time's passing back home... and we don't remember this place back home either.

[titillation]

He likes to work...

[Which isn't a lie. He just likes his own work, not hers.

Her nose gives a little wrinkle though. Time being slower, fine, but stopping...? And how do people poof away. They must do something to make that happen.]

... so I'm not going to age a day? And if you come back, you don't remember what you did to leave?

Well, nothing wrong with a good work ethic!

[He does kinda like working himself. And he scratches his head, because time questions are hard to keep track of.]

W-well you might age here! Maybe it just gets undone when you go back home? I dunno! And, uh, yeah, no one's reported actually remembering how they got back home! So that's still a mystery, pal.

Other than wanting to work all the time...

[Giving a little pout. Because that is boring. Her captain is young and should have some fun.]

Oh yeah, you gotta be able to take it easy sometimes! Some people are too hard on themselves, pal! [He nods in agreement, while thinking about Edgeworth.

And the last subject is pretty sobering.]

....Um... yeah. Death's still a thing here. But people from other worlds like us, the 'Moonblessed'... I've heard reports of something weird. Instead of dying completely, they kinda turn to crystal for a few weeks before coming back to life. I've only heard about it in reports, but... pretty weird stuff. [He prefers to just not die to begin with.]

[titillation]

[That is, indeed, some pretty weird stuff...]

So if I see a humanoid crystal thing, I probably shouldn't touch it.

[trenchdoting]

R-right, that would be unadvisable! [He responds meekly. He doesn't know if anything bad can actually happen from touching them, but probably best not to find out!] At least not 'til they're back to their normal selves.

[titillation]

And then I can touch them all I want?

[She does manage to keep a straight face, for a moment anyway, before giving a wink.]

[He chuckles nervously.]

W-well.... I guess that'd be one way to help them feel alive!

[titillation]

[A pause, before he gets a bigger laugh out of Rangiku.]

One can hope.

[trenchdoting]

[Now he laughs along more confidently. He's proud that he successfully joked back.]

F-for sure, pal! But here's hoping that's something you don't have to worry about. [The less death going on around here, the better.]

[Rangiku does enjoy banter.]

Mm. I might like sparkly things, but that doesn't mean I want to become one.

You already have a shining personality as it is, pal! [He adds with a chuckle.] ...I actually don't know of anything happens if you touch 'em. But better safe than sorry, right?

[She is well aware that she can be pushy and self-centred and lazy, although there are other assets others usually comment on.]

Well, I'd rather not be responsible for anything that might go wrong.

I don't have to play it, pal! [He brags with a grin! Not many people would brag about complimenting others, but here he is! Of course he doesn't know her that well yet, although at least some things about her do seem worthy of compliments!]

That's another good way of looking at it! I know I wouldn't wanna know it over and accidentally break it! That... that'd be really bad!

It's a good tip, anyway. This place seems strange enough without having to worry about whether you broke someone in to little pieces by accident...

Exactly! You get it, pal. That makes one less problem to worry about! You'd need a really heavy-duty dust pan to deal with something like that...!
