[ As soon as the video turns on, Karma's already waving one hand towards the camera but otherwise seeming for all intents and purposes to be rather calm for the most part. ]

So. Guess you could say I have a question for you all.

[ He gestures back towards the window nearby; moreso towards the sky ]

Since the first of the month is coming up soon and i've heard these moons affect people a certain way, is there any advice that could be given for dealing with the effects that happen? I would quite appreciate it if any of you would be willing to share any details of your experiences so I know what to expect.

[ His smile falters a touch here, but nonetheless seems to remain in place as he let off a soft hum. Normally Karma wouldn't have asked so openly but maybe he was concerned about what was going to happen in a couple days and he did like being prepared.

Sure Cloud had told him a little but he needed a bit more to go off of. ]

Especially seeing as it would be my first time and it's likely to be unsettling in some form or another.

That's what they said. Oh, and you have to record a video of it and post it on the network so you can get your money.

[Which is completely false, of course. But Sougo likes being able to BS things with a deadpan expression. Is he serious? Is he just kidding? If one takes him at his word, the outcome would be so very amusing for him.]

Anyways, you said it was your first time. Did you expect people to be gentle?

[And least of all, him?]

Right. Of course! [ Karma looks like he believes him for just a moment, even if he doesn't and is just playing along like the vicious troll he really is. ] Have they said how much chroma we get paid for doing that?

[ After all, he's not the type to get played. No matter the face you wear. He's used to these types of games. Mostly since it seems like something he'd be in the mood to pull on someone else if he could get away with it. ]

Not really. I expected them to be more creative if they're going to call me a nickname.

[ Honestly Karma's not even mad. More amused than anything else. ]

Hmm, probably about a hundred chroma? That's what they told me.

[He's making this up as he goes. That's part of the fun in trying to play these games with people.

But Karma's not-so-thinly veiled insult clues Sougo in. This person is not an innocent target. Not to worry. Sougo enjoys a challenge. He points towards the camera.]

Then you're a cherry boy because of your cherry hair.

A hundred? That does sound quite tempting. A few hundred chroma sounds totally worth what will probably be an absolute moment of pure shame for me that everyone's sure to remember for as long as I'm here. Not even counting what the other person's reaction would be, either.

[ Such a 'innocent' facade was fun at the start, but it all soon melted into sarcasm and amusement as he flashed a somewhat cheeky grin at the other through the camera. ]

Not bad. About a 3.5 out of 10 though, if I really had to give it a number on your level of creativity and use with that one. [ He tilted his head to the side slightly. ] You're really gonna have to try harder if you want a good reaction out of me.

[ It's not every day he can meet someone like this. Something in his eyes just begs for the challenge to be met. ]

[Sougo shrugs. This other guy is definitely onto him, but he'll take it all in stride. It's harder to be a sadist when there's a screen separating him from a stranger.]

It doesn't have to be shame, cherry boy. Some people are into that. Chroma doesn't come on a silver platter.

And am I just saying this for a reaction? [He is.] I'm just telling it like it is.

That might be what some people are into, but i'm afraid I am not one of them. I never expected gaining Chroma would be just... given away like that, don't worry.

[ Is this guy going to continually just call him that now? Either way, he couldn't resist a small chuckle at hearing that kind of response; something that came way too easily like it was definitely second nature to him. ]

Of course. It's just more entertaining when people believe what you say and take you at face value, isn't it? [ A pause. ] Besides. I find it's fun to bug the ones with short tempers. They're really quite predictable.

You haven't tried it though. [Because, you know, cherry boy. Sougo won't let that go very soon.] It's still a good idea to humiliate another person once they see it on the network though. Especially if they're a short-tempered asshole like you said.

This place would be a lot better if we could get Chroma that way.

[He would be the richest man on this damn planet.]

Still doesn't seem like something that really interests me. [ Try him. It would take a lot to really fluster him here. ] Oh, definitely. Those types give the best reactions.

[ Karma couldn't help but laugh a little once again, nodding his head and seeming 100% okay with talking about this where it was public. Mostly since he just didn't care, but hey. ]

I agree. Plus it would be much more entertaining, too.

We'll see. [Sougo will hold Karma to that. If he ever catches wind of Karma being into something similar, well...]

Sadly, I'm stuck with my dumb supervisor. [More like babysitter.] He's really anal and I hate him but at least he's fun when he's faced with attempted murder. I could've gotten tons of Chroma from that if I could.

Oi, Prismatica? Do you hear us? We have suggestions.

[He cups his hands to his mouth and looks around as if he's actually trying to contact someone in charge. However, his deadpan voice betrays the fact that he's being facetious with this.]

[ If he is, that's something he intends to keep as his little secret since he knows well enough that it was something he'd never hear the end of. ]

Sounds like you've had your fair share of times messing with him, either way. Does this supervisor have a name or happen to be stuck here with us?

[ That does get a small chuckle out of him all the same, still seeming to wear a grin like a permanent fixture on his face right now. ]

Like they'd actually listen to us anyway. We're just a few small numbers against the vast majority who wouldn't dare take what we say into consideration.

[Sougo makes a mental bookmark of that. Consider it a challenge.]

His name's Hijikata. If you meet him, ask about how he loves eating dog food. That's sure to get him angry. [Hijikata is very sensitive about his mayo being insulted like that!]

[Sougo had dropped the act earlier, but he gives a slight nod.]

They keep wanting everyone to do it, so it seems like we made it on the planet of voyeurs. If only there was a planet of sadists...

[ That was not the name he expected to hear. Which had him raising an eyebrow in surprise briefly. ]

Hijikata? Huh. What do you know? I already met him during that incident with King Majestas not too long ago. Is he really that fun to mess with?

[ There was no act with him. He was just naturally this way all the same, having fun with this situation here. ]

For all we know, there could be and it just hasn't been discovered yet.

Huh. You've already met him.

[Karma seemed a little surprised, so Sougo assumes that this cherry boy hasn't seen Hijikata's true side yet. Time to correct that.]

I dunno how he acted around you, but he's got the biggest stick up his ass. He tries to act cool but he's really embarrassing. You should trust me about the dog food.

And I gotta admit you're right. There has to be a planet of sadists somewhere. Maybe they're taking over the planet of masochists.

[Sougo would want to take over the planet of sadists himself. He comes from a world where aliens from multiple planets can mingle in Edo; nothing about faraway places in space is too weird for him.]

I haven't seen that embarrassing side to him yet, so of course I'll have to fix that. I'll keep the dog food thing in mind. Maybe even ask him about it to see what his reaction is.

[ This conversation is something else and he can't help but chuckle a bit at the mental image he got from it. Not a bad one in the slightest, but not something he thought he'd ever come up with while talking to anyone else. ]

Probably. If they haven't, it's only a matter of time before they do.

It'll come out soon enough. The dog food will be a surprise. He'll love it.

[(No, Hijikata will not love it, and that's the entire point.)

Usually, he would try and talk up just how horrible and awful Hijikata is...but he'll see how Karma reacts around Hijikata. There may be hope for Karma yet.]

Do your best, planet of sadists. I believe in you.

Oh, by the way, Hijikata's a masochist too. So keep pissing him off, he actually really likes it.
