[the video starts with someone (in a lot of green) too close to the screen. just the bottom half of his face is visible and his mouth moves as he mumbles something to himself. eventually, he leans back. some of you might recognize him as the Green Man who introduces himself as Robin. after a moment, he lifts his hand in a greeting.]

Hey there, folks. [that same hand rubs at the back of his neck.]

I'll make this short and sweet. [the recording turns around and focuses on a couple of these guys, brightly colored and lazily swimming around in a large fishing bowl on a windowsill. one headbutts the side of the bowl gently.

there's a sigh.]

Anybody in the market for a couple of rainbow fish? I don't want anything for 'em other than getting the responsibility out of my hands. Don't really care what you do with them, either.

[but he's out here

looking for a home for them.]

It'll be first-come, first-serve. Early bird gets the worm and all that... or fish, in this case.

Robin is silent at first, narrowing his eyes, but he thinks he gets it.]

Right, right. The same way I used to have these fish?

[Both honestly.]

I do not know about that. We haven't spoken much.

[offshoots]

Well, I tend not to get along with the noble knight types and such. Besides, you were silently on the heels of your Master, last I saw you.

[galatining]

[Sets up prisma equivalent of gofundme]

I admit I have a hard time with bandits and brigands myself. Though as for my Master, I wonder which one you mean. There have been a lot of them.

[offshoots]

[put a picture of abs and it'll hit the mark.]

Should probably keep our distance then. [is this another Chaldea thing?]

Leo. [Robin's tired of it so he comes out and says the name, no beating around the bush.]

Speaking of which, did you guys win the Grail War like everyone thought you would? Or did that newbie Master get the better of you?

[galatining]

[I mean when isn't it a Chaldea thing these days?]

Leo...

[He frowns then.]

We lost in the end. It was very close. I suspected that outcome though.

[offshoots]

[good point, damn.

the little chick, newbie Master won. wow.]

Did you? I can't say I did. Even after she defeated my Master.

[he was under the impression he was just a bad Servant. there's a pause.] Huh. I'll be. I guess that makes me feel a little better about it all. What a dark horse she turned out to be.

You didn't suspect you'd win? You had all the makings to come out on top, though, I thought. Pretty sure Leo thought the same, too.

[galatining]

[A dark horse? Indeed. Hakuno had definitely exceeded all their expectations, low as they might have been in some cases.

But good or bad Servants, they depend entirely on the Master sometimes and the War.]

I mean we definitely should have and I regret it, but...

Leo grew from it at least.

[offshoots]

[the statement makes him think about Dan and the way he looked at Hakuno before Robin felt his consciousness slip away. with a sparkle in his eye he hadn't seen before.

he wasn't upset about losing -- he didn't regret a thing. maybe he didn't grow but he remembered what it was like to be human again and not a soldier with only duty on his shoulders.

Robin got that. does Robin say any of this? hell fuckin no. he does say:]

[galatining]

[Gawain is the type of person who can't entirely accept losing in that sort of situation. Not when someone else is on the line.

But at the same time, he served his Master as he would any Lord and watched over him as a little brother. It had felt like some of the joy from his old life had returned.

Of course when Robin makes that crack, Gawain pauses. And despite himself, he can't stop himself from lacking.]

Oh please, he was a acceptable height for his age. I am sure he would have sprouted in a year or two.

[offshoots]

[that's the only wholesome thought Gawain will ever have.]

Guess you'll never know. [how bittersweet.]

With that! I should get back to getting these small fish off my hands. Or were you interested?

[galatining]

[Sad, isn't it?]

I would, but it looks like you have a lot of takers already. But good luck with it.

[offshoots]

Hoh? That's not very noble of you. I was expecting you to offer to take them, no questions asked. I think one of the takers wants to grill 'em up and eat them.

[galatining]

[He's honest.]

...not that I eat fish, but they do not even look like they would taste good.

[offshoots]

[honest, loyal, dumb, perverted -- you know, like most knights.]

You... don't eat fish? [he's so flabbergasted by this information he can't help but make sure he's hearing it right.]

[galatining]

No. No meat at all. I don't care what the monks said in my era. that is meat and I will not have any of it.

[Just the thought... ugh.]
