[ The video turns on to Rey sitting in front of a display of brightly colored glass items, a forced smile on her face. She's never actually made a post of her own, before. Attention freaks her out. There's a five second span where the look on her face screams 'ABORT ABORT' but she pushes through it, exhaling. ]

Hello. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Rey. I've recently opened up a shop on Level 2 that deals in all different kinds of junk and recycled items, as well as electronic repair. I have a background in spaceship salvage, and my workers all have varying degrees of knowledge or interest in similar things.

[ And awkward pause, before D-0 beeps at her in binary and nudges her foot with his nose. This is of course off-camera, but she looks down and smiles, before her eyes return to the video feed. ]

I run a munitions and repair shop 'round Level 3. Do a lot of my own inventin' in between. I'll have to come by.

[ Rey smiles at the compliment, nodding her head. ]

It's the name of a flower that blooms in the desert I grew up in.

[ Her smile grows at the mention of his own repair shop, and inventing. ]

Definitely! I'd love to know what you've been working on.

No kidding! That's an intense name for a flower.

Sure. I'm used to buildin' and drawin' up weapons for folks, for the most part. My latest project, though... I made a little dog. For the heck of it.

It grows on a planet that doesn't have any natural water sources, it's a pretty intense flower.

[ Rey was very fond of the flowers.

The mention of a dog gets her attention, and she tilts her head. ]

Really? Like a droid but... a dog?

[spah]

Damn. Alright then.

[He's impressed.]

Yup! [Then again, he's just assuming what a droid is.] Put 'er together out of spare parts.

That's amazing! I'd love to see her. I always wanted to build a droid, but their parts were too valuable whenever I happened to find pieces.

Sure. Hedy loves most people, friendly as all get-out. If you don't mind, uh, pets? I'll bring her 'round your shop.

So what do, uh, droids do, exactly?

I don't mind at all! D-0 would probably love to meet her, too. He gets along better with droids than people.

[ There's a few beeps from off-screen, and she nods her head at whatever the droid said, before raising her eyebrows at the camera. ]

Oh, they can do anything. They can range from being astromechs that help with navigation and system repair in a small fighter, to protocol droids that know thousands of languages and are versed in etiquette all across the galaxy. D-0's main function is as a storage unit, he has quite the impressive memory bank.

[ Rey moves the camera to show D-0 on the floor, who looks up curiously. Rey off-camera says "say hello, D-0!" to which the droid responds politely: H-h-h-hello. The camera shifts back to Rey's face after. ]

I've thought about giving him some upgrades, but we're still getting to know each other, really.

[spah]

Huh.

[Engie blinks at D-0, looking deep in thought for a moment - then cracks a smile.]

Well, hell. Ain't he a cute little thing! I'm impressed.

Y'know... if you ever need help with upgrades, lemme know. Not that I doubt your abilities, ma'am. I just like any excuse to meet like-minded folks.
