beyond moonlacing or whatever because we all have to do that and it doesn’t always mean anything

how many of you have someone or someones that you love, here

like real love or the closest thing you’ve felt to it anyway

and if you do are they from your home or are they from other worlds

and if they’re from other worlds
how are you going to

what are you going to do when one of you leaves

People seem rather fixated on the idea that forgetting our time in this realm is some immutable reality, don't they? I can't recall a single account where anyone has admitted to working toward retaining their memories and failed.

Nothing is set in stone and even stone can be weathered and changed. If you desire to remain, if you desire to remember, forge a path even gods and demons will have difficulty obstructing.

In the pursuit of any goal, you utilize every resource available to you to achieve your desired end. Educate yourself. Speak with others. Ask questions. Develop the knowledge and skills you need or recruit someone that has or can develop that knowledge and those skills in your place.

I won't tell you such an undertaking will be easy or that you will absolutely be met with success. I will tell you that you cannot succeed if you do not try. The advice you have received
[ not sorry, she's a snoop observant, okay?? ] is not wrong either.

[ Hm. ]

In my home realm, I've retained memories I shouldn't have been able to, but that's a complicated situation. Those memories are not normally accessible to me in a regular manner. They passively manifest as dreams.

Many things people would regularly deem impossible have come to pass here. Wouldn't you agree?

That's a long story I suppose you could succinctly summarize as life experience. But to be more specific, I've kept a dream journal throughout the years. When the time came, I traveled, met people who related that history to me, visited those familiar places.

Before that, though, I knew because I am those people and I embodied them in particularly ways. I recognized myself. I... don't know if that makes much sense.

As I said, it's complicated.
