[Just a simple little post from username 'Bluemarine', but it's posted for everyone to see and the option to reply in any format you like is there, should you feel like it. Somebody sure has the burning desire to ask everyone a question (or piss off as many people as they can, depending).]

How many of you believe in an afterlife? Or...What I should ask is; how many of you understand that you're slaves to fate and destiny, no matter how unhappy yours might be?

You're welcome to try and change my mind on that front, if you think you have the intellect.

So you agree, essentially. After all, I'd personally argue that the burden of your family's history was an obstacle that you overcame, and overcome still, and so you're stronger for it.

...I might have worded my query in an inflammatory manner to test people's convictions, but that doesn't mean that I see fate as a chain. Quite the opposite really; it's comforting, something to give you strength when you're lost or in pain. Your choices, your luck, the people you meet, how you cope with situations; all your journey, uniquely you and purely happening as it's meant to be.

[Will this be the only time that Pucci's actually genuine in this post? Probably. Ssshhh.]

Exactly right! (´ ∀ ` *) What I mean is, no matter what your original fate was, you can make a choice to submit and do nothing, or act. And the actions you take are what matters.

Though it did sound of overly aggressive. Some people might take it as a challenge and start an old-fashioned Internet fight.

Precisely! Finally, someone with sense about it; people get awfully uppity about the matter of free will, but I'd prefer to not freefall through life, myself. You are tested, and so your life changes accordingly. It's not that hard!

(Between you and me, I thought that might be a little funny to see. Maybe I'll get some angry pictures or something?)

Well, to experience it, it IS hard. I've seen a lot of people hurt and die.

Come now, that's not what I meant. Of course fate isn't always kind, and it can be impossible to parse why it works the way it does. I've seen that plenty of times as well, trust me.

But for those of us alive, we struggle on. And struggle we will. Victory won't always be ours, but that makes us hungrier for the next one, or crumbles us into nothing; that's part of fate, too.
