[Just a simple little post from username 'Bluemarine', but it's posted for everyone to see and the option to reply in any format you like is there, should you feel like it. Somebody sure has the burning desire to ask everyone a question (or piss off as many people as they can, depending).]

How many of you believe in an afterlife? Or...What I should ask is; how many of you understand that you're slaves to fate and destiny, no matter how unhappy yours might be?

You're welcome to try and change my mind on that front, if you think you have the intellect.

Except that now we've already had this conversation, so that's gonna color whatever we talk about in the future. This topic especially. Besides, "word for word"? I said I'd basically say the same thing, don't strawman me.

But hey, I'm not sure why I responded to this in the first place save that you poked a particularly sore spot in me with the subject, so maybe you're right. You were fated to put up this post, I was fated to respond to you, and we were just fated to have this conversation. Not like I can prove otherwise.

Oh, you got me there. Not that I understand your Wizard of Oz reference being put in such a way, but that's how life is!

Look at you, talking sense all of a sudden. I'm very proud of you, stranger; this shows that you can learn and grow.

Except that by your own logic you shouldn't be proud of me. You shouldn't feel anything at all. After all, I was just fated to come to that conclusion and have that reaction. So what's there to be proud of? It's not like I did it myself. Just another whim of fate.

Oh darn, you got me again! Yes, clearly fate robs us of emotions just as you said earlier...I think perhaps my brain was fated to glitch out and make me think that I felt a real emotion. Sorry for making a mistake, but you know how it is; fate made me do it and all! :P Ah, fate is so cruel...When I was a child, I dreamed of making friends and feeling real emotions, but here we are, automatons jerked about by a puppet made of wilful ignorance.

You nailed it! How do you feel? Nothing, I hope; we can't have that now.

Look at us, we've circled back to me having to face the fact that you're incapable of examining a concept properly...Oh dear.

Well if that's what you think of me then there's no point continuing this conversation, is there? I'd say I'm about to test fate by seeing if I can manage to end things here, but obviously the counterargument is that if I succeed, I was just fated to do so.

So I guess this was all just a huge waste of time.
