[ when the feed flicks on, it's to japan seated neatly in a chair, hand withdrawing from the phone to curl in his lap. he offers a bow, straightening with a slightly uncertain expression. ]

Good afternoon. My name is Japan-- [ a slight waver there; it still feels a little strange to introduce himself this way to strangers. ] --and it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I've chosen to address the network largely for the purpose of asking advice, which I suppose is a time-honored tradition among internet users. As there's no Twitter here to turn to, well.. [ he trails off, then spreads his hands in a small shrug.

anyway. ]
As a nation, my government has generally provided for me for quite some time. I do a fair amount of volunteer work, but well.. it's not the same thing as holding employment. Particularly not on another planet. [ a beat. right, get to the point. ] I would like to work for [ er. ] one of the moonblessed? If possible, that is. I've heard that there are some few that may be opening businesses of their own. If not.. it would be nice to hear about where you're working. If you are, that is. Perhaps it will give me some ideas.

[ he sighs, shoulders dropping slightly. ] Though.. I'm not eager to begin just yet. It's been quite a long week, hasn't it? With the dragons, that is. [ a beat, then he perks up slightly. ] As the little ones have been returned to their parents now, though, if you have photos that you'd like to share, I'd like to see them. The dragonlings that I saw over the last few days were all very unique. It's interesting, how they took on traits of us. Don't you think?

[And over here is a man with rather long red hair, who waves cheerily at the camera from his own curved chair. That's basically all that can be seen of his backdrop, though, for whatever reason.]

Oh, I was wondering if there'd be a Japan after those other guys explained all the "embodiments of countries" stuff. It's nice to meet you~

I haven't really been working myself, but I've been seeing about starting something of my own for a bit...I'll mostly need artists and people who are good with computers if I go ahead with it, though. Is there any particular kind of job you were interested in?

Right, that's it. But I'm still figuring out how different the computers here are to back home... [Their technology is slightly more advanced here, but his knowledge of code is primarily from seeing other people write it up. He'd need a decent sample from both worlds and the time to compare them to figure out any differences.]

I wouldn't worry too much about it, though, I'm still working things out right now. But it's kind of hard to suggest what other jobs you could look for if I don't know what you're interested in, right? After all, you're a country that holds all sorts of interests~

[Hopefully not the same kind of interests that Ren recently found out Germany has, but at the same time, he wouldn't be all that surprised.]

Mmm, I'm kind of trying to bring a game we have in my world to this one...? Or at least something like it. I think this world has different tastes in game styles. [In that they prefer virtual reality to tabletop here, but considering Vanguard already made the jump to virtual reality in his world, that's not exactly a barrier.

Ren gives an innocent, airy sort of smile at the host club mention, curling a hand over his mouth slightly.]
Well, if people are interested in that sort of thing, I suppose...I have seen cat cafes here, though, there's some good ones around.

Oh, it's a trading card game, so a tabletop one. [Ren rarely hesitates to talk about Vanguard if he has the chance, and his tone brightens considerably on the subject.] It was really popular in my world because we had the technology to make it like a big spectator sport sort of deal, so I'm thinking of focusing on the technology part of it here since they have virtual reality and stuff.
