[ when the feed flicks on, it's to japan seated neatly in a chair, hand withdrawing from the phone to curl in his lap. he offers a bow, straightening with a slightly uncertain expression. ]
Good afternoon. My name is Japan-- [ a slight waver there; it still feels a little strange to introduce himself this way to strangers. ] --and it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I've chosen to address the network largely for the purpose of asking advice, which I suppose is a time-honored tradition among internet users. As there's no Twitter here to turn to, well.. [ he trails off, then spreads his hands in a small shrug.
anyway. ] As a nation, my government has generally provided for me for quite some time. I do a fair amount of volunteer work, but well.. it's not the same thing as holding employment. Particularly not on another planet. [ a beat. right, get to the point. ] I would like to work for [ er. ] one of the moonblessed? If possible, that is. I've heard that there are some few that may be opening businesses of their own. If not.. it would be nice to hear about where you're working. If you are, that is. Perhaps it will give me some ideas.
[ he sighs, shoulders dropping slightly. ] Though.. I'm not eager to begin just yet. It's been quite a long week, hasn't it? With the dragons, that is. [ a beat, then he perks up slightly. ] As the little ones have been returned to their parents now, though, if you have photos that you'd like to share, I'd like to see them. The dragonlings that I saw over the last few days were all very unique. It's interesting, how they took on traits of us. Don't you think?

While the concept is nothing new to him—hell, that's how he exist—the fact that there's a personification of his... homeland even made him pause in surprise.]
Are you really Japan?
[There's a good deal of skepticism here, before he seems to relax for a moment.]

Ooh, then that means you probably know a lot of stuff?
[Like swords. Kashuu's already starting to look for his dragon photos as he introduce himself. It's easier to do something than to... think too deeply for a moment? He shows some photos he manage to take of his dragon, black and red. Ones he deem nice looking enough (and not embarrassing himself too much).]
I'm Kashuu Kiyomitsu, and my cute dragon was named Kara!
[... And he's curious to see if his name ring any bells.]

[ but he's distracted by the photos, very carefully not crooning over them. what a beautiful dragon, though, and its name--
wait. he rewinds the introduction, pausing again at what he'd heard. kashuu kiyomitsu? the swordsmith? or.. he glances over the figure in the frame, taking in the clothing and appearance, before offering a cautious: ] I don't suppose.. you belonged to Okita Souji-san at some point..? [ after meeting hasebe-san and nihongou-san, he's quicker to think tsukumogami than he otherwise would have been. ]

Yep, that's right! I'm Kashuu Kiyomitsu, child from the river and one of Okita Souji's swords.
[From the sound of it...] And I'm guessing you met others like myself?

I-- It's-- It's such a pleasure to meet you. Kiyomitsu-san? [ or does he prefer something else, like hasebe-san does? ] And I have, yes. Nihongou-san and Hasebe-san thus far. Are.. there more of you here..?
[ he sort of feels like an angry parent considering it. leave his cultural heritage alone??? ]

[Since he's Japan, he wouldn't mind hearing "Kiyomitsu" from him. He probably have the right to, like the saniwa sages.]
Mm, yep. There's more of us here. But not all of us.
[Is that supposed to be reassuring? Well, Kashuu would feel better about it. Because they still need swords back at the citadel for safety and security.]
