[ Wen Ning had scrolled upon Wei Wuxian's post entirely by accident since it's not often that he uses the network, finding most of the discussions there beyond him. He was rather surprised by the large response to the post, even more so to the lack of context the responders had and how it led to some rather fierce conversations with his master.
Though he had initially been ready to respond to each and do his best to clarify matters (he could not have people speaking so ill of Young Master Wei when they did not properly know him), the sheer number involved had convinced him that it might be better to make a post of his own. Even though he is nowhere near as good with words as Wei Wuxian.
At least the "voice-to-text" application on his device should make it easy for him to communicate without his usual hangups. It's guard dog time. ]
There is something that must be said.
Young Master Wei only wishes to help me have a fuller life here. To be able to share food and drinks with others. To be like others who received a second chance here.
He is none of the things people here have accused him of. He is a kind person. And I trust him fully.
As he said, I am well. Even though I am not the same as you.
I will not have anyone saying false things about him.

[ Including those currently in Lunatia. ]
Young Master is not like those people. He has never shown me ill will. He saved me. And my family.
I know I can trust him.

[If there was anyone like that in Lunatia, Lio certainly wanted to know.]

You looking to protect the people you just admitted to me were cruel?

[Probably a good answer, though. Lio likely would seek this guy out, if he knew a single thing about the guy. He's the kind of person who wouldn't sit idly by, regardless of the danger to his own person.]
I'm assuming you haven't gone to the Moon Knights about him for a reason?

[ Also, Wen Ning might have some reservations about authorities, given that the only authority he knew had been instrumental in the murder of the remnants of his family and also that whole fierce corpse thing. He hardly has the right to report others. ]

Fine. If he does end up causing trouble, I only hope that it wasn't something that could have been prevented.
I know if that monster from my world, Kray Foresight, ever showed up here, I'd give him absolute hell.

Kray Foresight?

If I ever see his face again, and he isn't behind bars, he's a dead man.

I am sorry. I hope he does not come here.

I'm only demonstrating that *I* have the conviction to face down the monsters from my world. Monsters from other worlds don't scare me.

[ Especially in his land, where monster is quite literal. And he has even seen his share of them. ]

Does it matter? It's an arbitrary distinction to make.
There were only humans, though we were divided between burnish and non-burnish - those who could wield fire and those who couldn't. I was burnish.

Turns out our fire was actually aliens from another dimension who we were simply prone to synchronize with. They would channel their energy through us.
Doesn't have anything to do with inner strength, it was just random chance.

They did not choose you?
[ Which is vaguely how this sounds. If Wen Ning is understanding properly. He's not sure he is. ]
no subject
Choose me?
I don't know, I don't think they chose me. Like I said, there was no rhyme or reason to who became burnish. I just resonated well with them. Maybe they knew I would understand them better than most humans, but
It's too late to ask now. They're gone.

What does that say about me?

The difference is how they use their abilities.
