[Perne is situated at a cosy-looking table in the Azure cafe. Chin in the palm of her hand, she tucks dark hair behind the shell of an ear.

Last time, she asked about a cathedral and couldn't recall getting a direct answer. She has, since then, assumed such a thing doesn't exist. But it did beckon some very interesting religious theory conversation.

This time, she has something different she is hunting for.]

I have found mineself with an alarming amount of free time and wish to invest it somewhere other than excessive and possibly unnecessary thought. I thought I had once heard rumour of a theatre house here in Lunatia. Is that true? I am aware we have other exhibitions of art, but mayhaps something musically or stagecraft inclined could be of benefit to many of us with such interests.

I acted as patron and worked within an opera house back where I hail from. I should like to reprise the role.

Bedroom antics, hm?

[ He shouldn't ask, not when he's so nervous about being this much bigger than her. But it's sanguis, and her hands are touching his. And maybe a little conversation wouldn't hurt. ]

Tell me how you might accomplish that.

H...

[Perne almost immediately starts laughing. She's not laughing at him, either.]

Hm... [She suspects this is getting into... risque territory. He is in Sanguis. He would naturally be interested in such things.]

Well... I have discovered that denial of sorts appears to be arousing. [And ridiculously effective.] So I suppose... denying you something you might like is a form of teasing. [But would that not depend on tastes...?]

[ishgards]

[ Aymeric has no idea that she's not laughing at him. He blanches, afraid he's said something terribly rude and uncalled for. It strikes him as a little unfair, when she brought it up. Twice today she has done this -- led a conversation and then acted surprised when he followed its thread. Except now it's even worse because she's laughing.

But then she stops and she talks about it, so maybe.... ]

I ... [ He can't deny that it does sound good, what she suggests. ] Yes, I suppose it would be.

[porcelainandblood]

I-I mean that may not be suitable for you.

[She smiles a bit apologetically, but it's more like she's trying to keep herself from smiling too much.]

I wonder what else constitutes teasing. I suppose. Well. You know. When you would— [...How does she even say that?] When you were close, that is. Preventing you from doing so. Simply making you endure. That is, I can see the appeal in it. Although mayhaps a bit tormenting for you. But good boys get treats.

[ishgards]

[ Aymeric swallows thickly. She's definitely got his attention, now. ]

That would be.... [ this conversation was definitely a mistake, during sanguis and everything ] good.

[Perne squeezes his hand, as if to offer some solace. All she's doing is speaking. He's... surprisingly easy to work up. But then the subject matter. It's not like she really thinks about stuff like this often.

...Maybe when she's alone. Aymeric's the first one she's spoken to like so.]

Too much?

[Her eyebrows lift in slight and teeth scrape over her lower lip.] I suppose I seem to like scolding. And praising. And I have found it rather effective to simply be upfront. Simple things, even such as an appropriately worded I want you is... rather empowering.

[ishgards]

No, it isn't too much.

[ Aymeric shakes his head, listening to her as she speaks. ]

I could see the appeal.

[porcelainandblood]

I have this suspicion that being upfront in such a way may not be your forte.

[Halone forbid, it isn't hers either. At least she didn't think so, but...]

At the end of it all, we all want to be wanted. We want to know we are. We want to know those with us want to be with us. That they have chosen us to be with.

[...It sounds more romantic than she means for it to. She's not foolish enough to believe romance has anything to do with it. It's... never been about romance for her. Just a sliver of belonging. A sliver of feeling... alive? Is that it?]

Personally speaking. I want a reaction. I like to... try new things, I suppose. Within reason. I want to touch here. And kiss there. I want to scratch and mark over here. I want to bite right there. [She seems to be speaking in general rather than anywhere specifically. Maybe that's a part of the allure. Let him think about the possibilities.]

I want to see what it will get me. And I like... a little desperation. [She smiles.] And teasing, allows for all of that. It is all a build up until one can no longer be patient. That breaking. I value it.

[ It's hard to keep looking at her when she speaks so openly of such things, but he does his best. It's important for both of them, after all, to be able to speak their minds. To learn to do it with a patient audience. It's made all the more difficult, of course, by the fact that he's sanguis and such things rouse not just lust, but also the aggression that comes with sanguis too.

Which of course tells him it would be a bad idea to do any of this, now. Because he knows if she did such things he would fight back like this, and that's the last thing he wants to do when it comes to her. If he were to submit to these kinds of things he should do it fully, and not at a time where he knows the moon would spark other desires. It would be more than desperation.

He takes a deep breath, trying to ground himself in that. Better than trying this at a time that could mean danger for her. ]

I didn't mean to suggest it was. [ His forte, that is. ] But in such things one requires a partner. One who enjoys the dominance of all of this, and one who would rather submit.

[ So when he said he could see the appeal, it was from that side of things. He's better at being upfront than she might expect though, and far better at giving direction than she seems to imagine, but that was in specific contexts. Sanguis. With men that he trusted could take it and not break. He was far gentler with women, and far more willing to do as he's told ]

Nevertheless, I am flattered that you feel comfortable enough to share these things with me. And I would like to indulge you in them, at a time. It is just...I do not think Sanguis makes for the most willing participant in such things.

[Her head tips this way and that. As someone who rarely considers partners in much of anything, intimacy of any kind tends to provoke that sort of thought. If she were younger, mayhaps she might be more inclined to argue with him. Perhaps to protest that such things to speak of were silly and unnecessary. But there is truth. She can see nothing but truth, and not for the first time in Aymeric's company, Perne has nothing to retaliate with.

And she possesses no direct desire to do so.

As he continues, she replays all that she has said, realises where he could possibly get the implication and... Well. As good as it is for her to be open about her thoughts, especially considering she would normally shove them all into a proverbial chest and lock it up quite tightly, maybe she still should watch what she says. Where. When. To whom.]

Oh. I—

[Her words lock in her throat momentarily and Perne drops her gaze into her teacup before she manages to speak again.]

I apologise. I did not mean to imply anything. I was merely speaking. I had no intention to... act otherwise. Not with you. Not at this time. I heard you the first time you voiced concern. I will... better curb how I converse with you in the future.

[...Which is a significant sight better than Perne oft being uncompromising.]
