[Perne is situated at a cosy-looking table in the Azure cafe. Chin in the palm of her hand, she tucks dark hair behind the shell of an ear.

Last time, she asked about a cathedral and couldn't recall getting a direct answer. She has, since then, assumed such a thing doesn't exist. But it did beckon some very interesting religious theory conversation.

This time, she has something different she is hunting for.]

I have found mineself with an alarming amount of free time and wish to invest it somewhere other than excessive and possibly unnecessary thought. I thought I had once heard rumour of a theatre house here in Lunatia. Is that true? I am aware we have other exhibitions of art, but mayhaps something musically or stagecraft inclined could be of benefit to many of us with such interests.

I acted as patron and worked within an opera house back where I hail from. I should like to reprise the role.

I have been trying to come up with ways to spend my time as well. I confess, it makes me anxious to have so little to occupy my time.

Perhaps it would be an appropriate time for you to find a hobby. There is a training centre if you feel your combat skills could benefit from practise and continued refinement.

It does. I did not oft have the time to go, but I've always found it interesting.

[ It's definitely a very Ishgardian thing, although he can imagine Lunatian plays are very very different than those in the Holy See. ]

I have been training, at least. [ Can't let those skills go! ] But I am considering trying to find a job.

[She nods, committing that to memory. Then, yes, she will have to keep him informed of whatever she finds out. And if there is nothing that should meet such an expectation... mayhaps it is her place to put something together. If there is, indeed, a following.

Her head tips when he makes mention of finding a job. She, who has largely been handed everything, finds that a concept almost lost on her. Almost. She has, at least, been in Lunatia long enough to know how such things work.]

There is certainly no shortage of places that likely could benefit from your assistance. Several of the establishments here are run by fellow Moonblessed. Mayhaps find something suiting your potential interests, or something you would find compelling to learn more about.

We never did discuss what sorts of plays you liked doing. Might be best to mention those too, so you don't get approached for things you don't want, aye?

I had assumed I would eventually reach just such a topic once I knew whether we had a theatre house or not. If not, then the types I preferred would hardly make a difference, aye?

[She cannot help issuing the most subtle curve of her mouth, though it does not last long. It almost never does.]

I would not consider mineself to be particularly finicky. Surprisingly. All of theatre is an art, regardless of the genre. I may find mineself partial to musical theatre, but that is to say I also appreciate tragedies, romances, and clever humour. Musicality is hardly a necessity.

Come to think of it, you would be well-suited for a stage, Lady Megumi.

Oh, no, never. I can rally folks just fine, but if I'd have to perform openly in any capacity, I'd very likely freeze up and never move again. I'll leave that sort of thing to you talented folks, aye? So which roles have you taken before? Tell me!

[The offer, or whatever it may be, is a bit puzzling. Does she seem so defenceless? Yes. Mayhaps so. That is probably all the better. Wiser to be inconspicuous than to be noticeable. Being underestimated is safer and ensures she will survive another day.

She accepts it, all the same, with a subtle dip of her head. Megumi continues and Perne feels distinctly pleased by the reaction. Perhaps she has only stuck to it to press buttons in a way that is just very characteristically Perne.]

You are a lady, are you not. Such a word is accompanied by elegance and I find elegance in you.

[It's really that simple.

As Megumi presses onward toward her time with the Palazzo Aldenard, Perne shifts in slight.]

The truth is that I did not have enough time with Master Torchier to establish that. When I was hired in, I insisted that I would be more well-suited to his staff and he begrudgingly suggested I act as his casting executive. He knew of mine background in music and dance, however, and wished me to take to the stage.

[For many reasons, Perne has not been inclined to do this. It's difficult to play a role when eyes may look at her considering she doesn't want anyone looking at her.]

[ She doesn't, but she'll offer it anyway because that's what a matriarch does. Unless it's otherwise obvious, she doesn't believe anyone is what they show on their surface. Though she does laugh. ]

Elegance, in me? Now who's being a flatterer? I know I'm rough around the edges, lass. But it's sweet you think so.

[ She's the type to smash someone's face in and step on them after if they've earned that... but she won't stop her if it's to her comfort. Still- ]

Anyroad, if you're going to get the chance here, might as well, right? And if you do, I'll come to all your shows. You'd probably be the only person worth paying attention to on a stage! ... not that I've seen you. 'twould be hilarious if you were actually bad at it.

Hello.

[ The video on Weiss' end takes a good shot of most of her face, and part of her neck. Her hair being up can't be seen from the angle. Still, she looks excited, and she waves at Perne who's on the other end of the feed. ]

My name is Weiss Schnee. I'm a member of the theatre group The Golden Muse. [ She's not as presumptuous to say something like "Perhaps you've heard of us", so she just gets straight to the point. ] I'm not very good at acting just yet, but I've been part of a couple musicals now since joining.

You might find a place for you with us.

[So there is a theatre group. Although a 'group' may not be mutually exclusive with a threatre house. Such things exist within Eorzea akin to travelling theatre 'troupes.' Perne cannot help wondering what The Golden Muse actually is.

She nods politely as Weiss continues.]

This is something located here, then? In Lunatia, I mean. I have not seen it, though I confess that I have not been here so terribly long. It is possible that I have missed it and not granted it the attention it more properly deserves.

Mm-hm. The Golden Theatre is where we perform, usually. [ It is, in fact, the third biggest theatre house in the city! ] I've actually never performed at the amphitheatre before, but some people said that there used to be stageplays there by the Golden Muse before the theatre was built.

Writing season's about to end, and we'll be introduced to our new production soon. It's usually during the summer that we have musicals.

[There's a pause and her head tips before she continues.]

Is there a... roster of some sort that I can peruse? Or mayhaps, an executive. That is, to see if issuing mine assistance would be of any help at all. [It's a strange way to ask it, but she doesn't seem inclined to lend herself if she isn't practical to the cause.]

I think you can search for the group's history online.

[ A little information here, but the Golden Muse has been around for a handful of years now and have produced the biggest stageplays and musicals in Lunatia. Weiss joined some time last year when they opened auditions for Moonblessed as a means of improving her singing. She's an amateur actress, however. ]

Do you sing, or are you someone who prefers to be behind the scenes?

I'll have to come watch you perform once you secure a position.

Perne cannot help colouring ever in slight. And she doesn't even understand why she is. There's just something about the tone Isabela carries about her...]

You say as if I would actually perform. Mayhaps I simply meant to paint a set or two?

I had intended to enlist mine assistance however they may have need for me. If that is painting sets, then I suppose I shall do so. If that is to perform, then mayhaps I find a place on the stage where I am least conspicuous.

I haven't heard anything about a theater, but I would love to do something like that! I play violin and I occasionally would help a performance guild back home before I got too busy for it.

It sounds like there is a group dedicated to theatre of some variety. I have not quite heard all of the details yet. I suspect they could be quite interested in a violinist, however.

[Dark eyebrows knit together as she continues.]

...Come to think of it, I wonder if there is a concert hall here. There must be. In some fashion. [...All things considered.]

I'm not sure about a concert hall but I do know there is an amphitheater. I think that's where most concerts or large events are held.

Evidently there is a concert hall as well. Clearly I have been living beneath a rock since I arrived. Although I suppose 'tis possible the amphitheatre and the concert hall are quite the same thing.

Idle hands are the devil's playground; at least that is what I've heard multiple times in my life. There are theatre troops comprised of moonblessed floating around, but I know that there are places one could certainly sink their time into.

Several months ago I ended up going to the concert hall to hear one of their performances. It was quite beautiful. If you have time to balance such things maybe you should try to spend equal time. It does the mind well.

[She nods, thinking back on Weiss' information.] It would seem there are multiple groups that lend themselves to the arts. I intend to look into all of them.

[With that being said, however, she wastes little time in looking over the information that he gives her with regard to the concert hall and its upcoming seasonal shows.]

I have not yet paid visit to the concert hall. I suspect it could be quite a refreshing experience. Thank you for your insight, ser.
