[Perne is situated at a cosy-looking table in the Azure cafe. Chin in the palm of her hand, she tucks dark hair behind the shell of an ear.

Last time, she asked about a cathedral and couldn't recall getting a direct answer. She has, since then, assumed such a thing doesn't exist. But it did beckon some very interesting religious theory conversation.

This time, she has something different she is hunting for.]

I have found mineself with an alarming amount of free time and wish to invest it somewhere other than excessive and possibly unnecessary thought. I thought I had once heard rumour of a theatre house here in Lunatia. Is that true? I am aware we have other exhibitions of art, but mayhaps something musically or stagecraft inclined could be of benefit to many of us with such interests.

I acted as patron and worked within an opera house back where I hail from. I should like to reprise the role.

You deserve happiness as well as any other. I hope that you will see that, one day.

[porcelainandblood]

I have never actually thought otherwise, you know. I know that I do. Knowing and feeling do not necessarily agree with one another.

[She waits, as if contemplating something. She's got him here. She might as well ask.]

Ah. You may be able to help me with this. A little, anyroad. I meant to pull you aside earlier, but have been hesitant to do so. I have a couple of questions for you, but I fear they are two entirely different subjects and one of them is not exactly appropriate.

[ishgards]

[ He's surprised to hear that she has questions for him but he nods. ]

Ask them in whichever order you prefer and I will endeavor to answer.

[porcelainandblood]

The inappropriate one first then.

[She seems appreciative that he's willing to hear her out.]

What sorts of things do you like? In the proverbial bedroom, that is. [Perne pauses.] I know how that sounds. I wanted to hear a man's perspective, but there is not really anyone else I feel comfortable asking and I know that you will be honest with me.

[ishgards]

[ Aymeric blushes a little. I guess this is still technically during sanguis so it's not as bad as it could be, but also looks kind of weird when you're part dragon. In any case, he is taking her seriously, at least, taking the time to consider his answer before responding. ]

I do not know that I can give you an answer that truly covers the variety of perspectives you would get from men, but I can tell you my experience. I have found that it varies, depending on whether or not the Sanguis moon is present. During Sanguis, I prefer to lead [ not with Perne maybe, but he worries about pushing boundaries with her. Or maybe he's just more submissive around women...generally...he's sort of noticed that, too. ] and I find myself more interested in a wider range of activities. Outside of the moon cycle I prefer things to be more simple. [ Read as: missionary ]

[porcelainandblood]

[She nods and for once, she's not getting flustered over it. Maybe because she knows she really needs to understand. For herself and for others who might somehow share her company.

Aymeric included, naturally. It is important to know these kinds of things.]

Both of those make sense to me. Are there any activities in particular you really enjoy? Between both, that is. If you feel like sharing. Again, I know this seems like a strange thing to ask. I am attempting to educate mineself that I might better... perform.

[ishgards]

I just like knowing that my partner is happy. Even when I take control I try to watch them for signs that they're enjoying it, and try to respond to that. It's more about the mutual experience for me than any specific actions.

[porcelainandblood]

I suppose that would be a bit obvious. So it is not really the what, but rather the overall experience and the whom.

[Where has she heard that before.]

You sound confident in yourself. Is that genuine or do you ever feel uncertain?

[ishgards]

That's correct.

[ It's true, and also, Aymeric is a people-pleaser, so it's especially true for him. But at her second comment he looks a little more sheepish. ]

If i sound confident, it is only because I'm trying to honestly answer your question. I feel uncertain more often than not. It is easier for me to just give into feeling.

[porcelainandblood]

[Her smile grows. He's being so upfront, even with his uncertainties.]

Do you think something like that gets easier with time? I am, admittedly, not very good at it. That is, sometimes I can seem very confident. And I know that when things fall perfectly into place, I no longer feel as if I might do wrong. I am still learning. I wondered if feeling or confidence was something I might be able to practise.

[ishgards]

I think you can practice confidence. If you keep trying to be confident for long enough, surely you'll start to feel it. [ Fake it 'til you make it, in other words. ] But feeling requires letting go and giving into the moment.

[ He's honestly not sure if she knows how to do that, though maybe, the way she talks about when it falls perfectly into place. ]

Both things easier said than done. But not impossible.

[She colours just a tad. Yes, there's... been a couple of moments like that. She can't even hide the little sliver of delight she gets from mere memories. The curve of her mouth grows and she hides it behind a hand.]

I will have to practise then. Or at least, place mineself into positions that allow me such practises. And the latter... Well. Even I am not ice all of the time.

[ishgards]

I imagine you'll find no shortage of opportunities, should you seek them out.

[porcelainandblood]

Are you offering.

[ishgards]

It would likely be better for you wait until after Sanguis passes.

[ Because, dragon traits. ]

[porcelainandblood]

[She pauses just a moment. Was that a serious answer?]

Do you think Sanguis should frighten me, Aymeric. I have seen some things during Sanguis. I think nothing surprises me now.

[ishgards]

You may not be afraid, but I would not want to hurt you.

[ It's serious. ]

[porcelainandblood]

I thought you said even during Sanguis you were careful. Or mayhaps you are attempting to compliment me by addressing mine delicate nature.

[...Which he would likely not be saying if he knew how she could be at times.]

If I may, sometimes a little hurt can be nice.

[ishgards]

Ah, perhaps...

[ It's so embarrassing to have to tell her how much bigger he's gotten. Maybe she'll just have to find out for herself and she can make that decision then.

But first: ]

You said you had two questions, didn't you?

[porcelainandblood]

Oh... yes!

[Perne taps at her chin and she frowns thoughtfully.] I want to get a gift for someone, but they seem... Well. They can afford anything they wanted on their own, so it would be silly to use mine Chroma for such. I was thinking of making something, but I am unsure of what to make. What do you think would be good? I know he likes tea. I thought about crafting him a tea from some of the plants here. Do you think that would be silly?

[ishgards]

[ He's pretty sure he knows who she means, but he's not going to spoil it by pointing it out. ]

I think that sounds like a nice gift. I imagine that this person would appreciate the gesture, regardless of what it was, but something like that is better still. It would be personal.

[porcelainandblood]

[Let her try to be inconspicuous.]

You do not think it is... a bit lacking in elegance? I mean, I suppose he would not be particularly interested in anything elegant. He gave me something simple—many things, actually—some time back and I thought it would be nice to offer something in return. I do not normally do gifts, but I thought it might be nice. You are easier to gift, however. Your tastes are more like mine, I think.

[ishgards]

[ He's letting her have this one. ]

Elegance would be to your tastes, would it not? But if his tastes are different, [ like say, if he was a stinky man who wandered around in uncleaned armor ] they you needn't worry about a lack of elegance. I imagine such a person would appreciate the simplicity of it. Elegance might be overwhelming.

[porcelainandblood]

It would, but this is not a gift for me. I know better than trying to do anything overmuch. He specifically told me not to get anything that would strain me.

[She tips her head and after a moment, she nods.] Would you mind trying some of the teas that I make? You can help me pick one. I would like to make a few to choose from.

[ishgards]

[ Boy he wishes they weren't having this conversation during Sanguis. But he nods all the same. ]

I would be happy to help.
