Hello, my name is Soubi Agatsuma. When I first arrived here, I opened up commissions for that band everybody was obsessed over. Since we've moved past that, I want to advertise my art once more.
I'll paint anything. There isn't anything I won't paint. Subject matter, size, object, anything. I'm a university student majoring in art and have painted since I was a small child. I'll let my examples speak for themselves.
[The images he shows are simply pictures he's taken. One of them is a butterfly pinned down, one wing almost torn off in the struggle of trying to escape but being unable to. Another is a butterfly with its wings slowly burning away as it tries to fly towards the sun. The third example is a large landscape portrait of a forest...
With dead butterflies all along the ground. When he's in a bad mood, he paints butterflies. He's always in a bad mood.]
I have some examples of those guys that were here but I doubt anybody is interested in seeing those. If anybody is, though, take them off my hands. They're taking up space that I could use for other pieces and it was a waste of resources. 20 chroma a piece. 30 chroma if you want some details changed. I could change the faces.
We'll discuss the price of original pieces if you're interested but my base rate is around 40 chroma. I'm a fast worker.
Thank you for your consideration.
[Is this a good ad? No but it's an ad and that's all that matters. It isn't like he ever actually did commission work before this.]

How skilled would you say you are at painting flowers?
no subject
But he quickly paints a few roses because when he's going to guess, by user name alone, this guy likes roses. But they do show that clearly, he can paint flowers.]
Does this suffice?
no subject
Oh! Yes. Those are lovely. In that case, what can I give you for a painting of a rose garden?
no subject
[That should be simple enough, right? Roses were easy.]
no subject
[Is purple extra... no, but he has cash to burn and another Vision:]
If you have the time, I would also like to purchase a painting of a deer.
no subject
Male or female deer? Particular about the color? [Since, you know, purple roses is pretty particular.]
no subject
Male. It is crucial that the antlers are included. [Hmm, and a color... purple!!! No--] Perhaps a selection of gold accents? I will trust your artistic judgment.
no subject
That one might be about 50 chroma. Depends on the detail I put in.
[But he might be putting a lot.]
no subject
[......that said.]
I feel I should specify that I would like the deer to be alive.
no subject
This time.]
Understood. You'll get one very alive deer. Antlers and all. Is this piece a gift?
[Rose garden seemed more personal.]
no subject
Hmm. In a sense. Several of us are going to appreciate it, including myself. A shared gift, if you will.
no subject
[These are good details to have. A personal piece is a lot different than something you paint to be shown off in a living room or something like that.]
no subject
[Like, they better love it, but also he's keeping it for himself if they don't.]
no subject
Then I guess I better make it good, hm?
It should take me about four days to have your pieces ready. I'll message you when they're done.
[Thanks never sleeping.]
no subject
Perfect. I am excited to see the finished works!
no subject
Your pieces are ready.
no subject
Excellent. Where shall I meet you to see them and give you your payment?

[He's not busy, he doesn't have a job...]

[Ah, and he didn't give, like, a self-description, oops... but how many people a) ask for purple paintings, and b) are this purple in person, showing up to get the purple painting. Just the one. He stands out.]
no subject
Not that Soubi doesn't look strange. Long maroon jacket with a fur trim, bandages wrapped around his neck, and looking like a mess of long limbs. They both stand out in ways.
Smiling, holding both paintings awkwardly, he steps in front of Lorenz.] Did you commission the rose garden and the deer?
[It would be real awkward if he didn't.]
no subject
Yes! That would be me. And you must be the esteemed artist. How did you enjoy the work?
[Like, he's totally jazzed for these paintings, but was it fun? Artists should have fun, right, and not paint dozens of dead things all the time...]
no subject
[He uncovers the rose painting first. Lorenz had asked for purple roses and so Soubi gave him that...and purple everything. From stems to leaves and even the sky are all varying shades of purple. The rose garden shares its space with the sky and gives off the aura of an unending horizon, unending chances. A far cry from his more depressing pictures of butterflies. He's versatile like that.]
I hope you approve. I know you said that you only required the roses to be purple but I liked the idea of an all purple scheme.
no subject
Holy shit, sir.]
Approve? It's stunning! The feeling you've captured is simply exquisite— please, allow me to pay you more than forty chroma.
[purple!!!!]
