Hello, my name is Soubi Agatsuma. When I first arrived here, I opened up commissions for that band everybody was obsessed over. Since we've moved past that, I want to advertise my art once more.

I'll paint anything. There isn't anything I won't paint. Subject matter, size, object, anything. I'm a university student majoring in art and have painted since I was a small child. I'll let my examples speak for themselves.

[The images he shows are simply pictures he's taken. One of them is a butterfly pinned down, one wing almost torn off in the struggle of trying to escape but being unable to. Another is a butterfly with its wings slowly burning away as it tries to fly towards the sun. The third example is a large landscape portrait of a forest...

With dead butterflies all along the ground. When he's in a bad mood, he paints butterflies. He's always in a bad mood.]

I have some examples of those guys that were here but I doubt anybody is interested in seeing those. If anybody is, though, take them off my hands. They're taking up space that I could use for other pieces and it was a waste of resources. 20 chroma a piece. 30 chroma if you want some details changed. I could change the faces.

We'll discuss the price of original pieces if you're interested but my base rate is around 40 chroma. I'm a fast worker.

Purple roses? Okay. Not a problem. [Luckily for Lorenz, purple does not cost extra because now it's going to be all purple.]

Male or female deer? Particular about the color? [Since, you know, purple roses is pretty particular.]

Male. It is crucial that the antlers are included. [Hmm, and a color... purple!!! No--] Perhaps a selection of gold accents? I will trust your artistic judgment.

[He already has a very specific image in mind of what he wants to do even if "deer" and "gold accents" are the most minuscule of details.]

That one might be about 50 chroma. Depends on the detail I put in.

[These are good details to have. A personal piece is a lot different than something you paint to be shown off in a living room or something like that.]

[Ah, and he didn't give, like, a self-description, oops... but how many people a) ask for purple paintings, and b) are this purple in person, showing up to get the purple painting. Just the one. He stands out.]

[Yeah, usually Soubi is a lot better at giving his description to the person but this time he forgot. Once he's at the groves, he looks around and he sees Lorenz who is very purple. There's such a thing as purple people and Lorenz is one of them. He had asked for a purple painting and so Soubi just kind of assumes this is who asked for the paintings. It's a fair assumption???

Not that Soubi doesn't look strange. Long maroon jacket with a fur trim, bandages wrapped around his neck, and looking like a mess of long limbs. They both stand out in ways.

Smiling, holding both paintings awkwardly, he steps in front of Lorenz.] Did you commission the rose garden and the deer?

[It would be real awkward if he didn't.]

[There are only so many coincidences allowed in one day, surely, so yes, the Purple Guy is here to pick up the Purple Painting. Soubi carrying canvases around is much more obvious, at least—]

Yes! That would be me. And you must be the esteemed artist. How did you enjoy the work?

[Like, he's totally jazzed for these paintings, but was it fun? Artists should have fun, right, and not paint dozens of dead things all the time...]

Yes, I enjoyed the color schemes you gave me very much. [And he kind of went wild with them.] Let me waste no time.

[He uncovers the rose painting first. Lorenz had asked for purple roses and so Soubi gave him that...and purple everything. From stems to leaves and even the sky are all varying shades of purple. The rose garden shares its space with the sky and gives off the aura of an unending horizon, unending chances. A far cry from his more depressing pictures of butterflies. He's versatile like that.]

I hope you approve. I know you said that you only required the roses to be purple but I liked the idea of an all purple scheme.

[Oh, that's so much purple. And the atmosphere! The feeling! He could just weep, and does indeed politely cover his mouth with his fist to stop himself staring slack-jawed at this very purple painting.
