Hello, my name is Soubi Agatsuma. When I first arrived here, I opened up commissions for that band everybody was obsessed over. Since we've moved past that, I want to advertise my art once more.

I'll paint anything. There isn't anything I won't paint. Subject matter, size, object, anything. I'm a university student majoring in art and have painted since I was a small child. I'll let my examples speak for themselves.

[The images he shows are simply pictures he's taken. One of them is a butterfly pinned down, one wing almost torn off in the struggle of trying to escape but being unable to. Another is a butterfly with its wings slowly burning away as it tries to fly towards the sun. The third example is a large landscape portrait of a forest...

With dead butterflies all along the ground. When he's in a bad mood, he paints butterflies. He's always in a bad mood.]

I have some examples of those guys that were here but I doubt anybody is interested in seeing those. If anybody is, though, take them off my hands. They're taking up space that I could use for other pieces and it was a waste of resources. 20 chroma a piece. 30 chroma if you want some details changed. I could change the faces.

We'll discuss the price of original pieces if you're interested but my base rate is around 40 chroma. I'm a fast worker.

I'm sorry to disappoint. There isn't any story. I only ever paint what I want to paint. [Is there a deeper reason to it? Yes.

But it's one that Soubi doesn't like to think about too much.]

But if you would like a commission then I can paint something with a story.

I'm only curious and intrigued. Whenever I paint, I wanted to tell a story to match a feeling, an emotion. Sometimes, a picture can make a story feel more alive.

[But he'll take his word for it. He hoped the painter doesn't find this a strange request for a commission.]

There isn't much of a story in this one either. It's aesthetics. Imagine this for the picture.

A lone white rabbit sitting on a hill under the sakura tree watching a full moon at night. It's spring season, so the sakura started to blossom at this time of the year.

[For Soubi, he prefers this type of commission. They're like rules he has to follow and being allowed a free reign over something feels impossible. This is honestly so much better for him.]

I like it. It opens up the mind to many different possibilities. One could look at it and get something different from it. A wave of peace or maybe they would feel lonely looking at it.

[Sizhui hopes it wasn't an impossible request for him! While it sounds like a specific idea and it's straightforward, he's more interested in his interpretation of the idea. And anyway, he's a painter himself, so he genuinely wanted to support another fellow artist and their work.]

How much it will be for the painting?

[Back home, Soubi is a very lazy painter. His only friend has to constantly push him to do assignments and if he graduates, it'll be a miracle. As much as he loves to paint, it feels useless to do so when it's only things he doesn't feel an urge to paint.

This is different, though. These commissions are for his master and so no request is impossible. This isn't too difficult anyway and it's good to have some guidelines to go by.]

With supplies, 70 chroma.

[He could afford the supplies on his own but well, every chroma counts.]

[Sizhui actually smiles. That's reasonable. He would hang the painting in his room and it will be a first. His intention is to really help out.]

Supplies can be expensive. Also if you need meals, I have a store in the farmer's market, and that will be on me. Visit my vendor stall and you can drop it off when the painting is done.

[Soubi isn't expecting the tip. This person is obviously nice and Soubi knows he has to keep him in mind. Not that Soubi is a very good person. He's quick to turn on someone if he's told to but still. It's helpful to know who to turn to if need be.]
