There's some-- some easy solution to all of this, right? Surviving the cycle with your sanity intact? Something I'm overlooking? Am I too distracted?
[Dressed in a black tank top, Robotnik looks... well, stressed out, mostly. And weirdly translucent. And sweaty. Definitely moonblessing issues. His hair's a mess, his mustache isn't faring much better, and he's pacing back and forth judging by the movement of the screen. Of course, the obvious solution is staring him right in the face, but he's ignoring that right now.
He's not even sure why he's bothering with the network. He was intending to suffer in silence, get this over with, get back to what passes for normal around here. But he wants to talk to people. Since fucking when? People are the last thing he needs, ever, but especially now.
Iris, he's concluded over and over again, is indeed the worst.]
Barring the obvious, I mean. It's-- It's incredible. I thought-- I thought I could take it, thought I could handle it. Nothing stumps me like this. [He runs a hand through his hair.] Everything has been... inconclusive. Ridiculous! Inconclusive! Think about it! I can't figure it out! Me!
[He's babbling. But in his defense he's running through his first Iris cycle on the heels of having a serious fucking case of alien-mind-share-device-induced brain junk data. Shit's fucked.]
How the hell do you live like this?
[Yes, he's absolutely making way too big of a deal out of this but he doesn't care.
He'll care later, probably. He'll definitely care later. But not now.]

[Nope, no luck for him. Now he's having a bad time.]
Researched all the symptoms of course.

Sanguis sounds respectable on paper, but think of it in terms of how many punches you can take before you go down? How well you can handle yourself fighting bare handed? Or how well you can talk your way out of having acted on a random violent urge?
Then again, suppose there's never a bad reason to keep a handful of sedative on hand.
no subject
I can throw people if I have to, [he mutters.
Not that it matters anyway, because Sanguis he is not.]
So it's terrible for everybody, I get it.

Cat moon is /obviously/ best moon.Ahahaha, nah, Robotnik would probably get chroma starved so fast.]Of course the far larger risk is that if you're unfortunately, only a human, there's almost a guarantee of finding something or someone with some physically impossible power or strength you can't do much about no matter how strong you are or what weapons you have.
As I said though, never a bad reason to have sedatives on hand. Whether it's for yourself or someone else.

Does this whole moonblessing count as a whole separate species?? Worth researching.
Anyway.]
Yes, I get it, you like sedatives. I'll keep that in mind just in case.
[He will, in fact, not.]

Especially since just fucking someone and getting it over with is clearly 'icky.'

And I prefer "painfully unnecessary."

Then again positive reinforcement has better results that than positive punishment, which is why denied instinct is always more exploitable than controlled instinct. Both of those things being why messing with engineers has been funny since the 60s.
no subject
[A pause.]
Well, unfortunately, I'm beyond instinct, [he continues to insist, for some reason.]
no subject
[Not actually true, but who cares.]
no subject
[And complain about it a lot.]
