He has seemed it on occasion, though I could not say for certain. I am not well-versed on his antics. Your brother has always seemed sombre.

I am not surprised. He has reason to be. We both do.

Perhaps with your presence here he will find reason to be less so.

I find it the responsibility of a sibling to be present for other siblings.

If you believe in something like fate, then perhaps that has drawn you both together.
