what i do is take a normal object and suffuse it with a magic spell, and then that object can do whatever i set it to do from the outset

so i've got things like rings that will keep fire from touching you and stuff like that

they all need components, and the better the components, the better the magic, but i'm one of the best enchanters in toronto so i can make do with just about anything

yeah, i can do impact force stuff to be sure

best component is kevlar, which - yeah, yeah, i know 'if i can get kevlar why do you need a spell'
well because a) i need a lot less kevlar
b)a vest won't stop you getting shot in the head

but i can make do with scraps of steal, diamonds, iron, that sort of thing

the cheaper the components the fewer hits it will take before losing its effectiveness, but since i'm assuming the bullets wouldn't be charmed with an anti-magic field, even the cheap ones would last a while here

though if he puts the lighter down ot gives it to someone else, that spell is going to transfer to them
