[ This is something Persephone probably should have done a few months ago.

There is a very pink young woman on the screen. She gives a sheepish little wave as she smiles.

] Hello, my name is Persephone and I'm the Goddess of Spring back home. Yes, I'm an actual goddess, it's not just a title. Yes, I am as pink as I appear, I'm not sunburned. [ Her gaze drifts away from the camera as ticks off things that have been brought up to her. Her tone is cheerful. ] And yes, for the humans from various different versions of Earth, I am the Persephone of Greek Myth. But the stories you know are wrong...to an extent. If you have any questions pertaining to that I'll do my best to answer them.

Also, you don't have to treat me special or anything just because I'm a goddess! I'm really normal aside from the fact I randomly grow flowers in my hair sometimes. [ It's really not that random. ]

A-anywho! I'm making this post for a reason beyond that. One, I'm curious if there are any other deities from other worlds here. I've met one and spoke with another, though I believe she's gone now. If you are a deity I'm curious how being here has affected your abilities. I-if you wish to share, that is!

For anyone else, I'd like to hear about the gods of your world. If you have them.

Oh? That's really neat. Your whole crew sounds really interesting.

A really special lot for sure, but I lose these disasters to bits.

They're my family, no matter how often they drive each other almost nuts.

[ragingnature]

[ She lets out a soft chuckle. ]

That certainly does sound like family.

Yup. Can't live with them, can't live without them

Do you have any siblings or...?

[ragingnature]

No. My mother had me and that's been it. It might have been nice to have at least one sibling though.

[spacedisaster]

I was also a single child with only a mom for a parent, so I get what's like to grow up like that.

But in my experience, family grows with time, it doesn't need to be blood related.

[ragingnature]

It was rather smothering. Was it the same for you? [ She gives him a curious look. ]

Ah.

[spacedisaster]

That sucks, sorry to hear. Ovevearign parents can be really stressful.

I was lucky, my mom was a sweetheart. She loved music and watching the stars. She never liked that I got into fights with other kids sometimes but she always tried to understand why instead of just scolding me. She got sick, though, and died when I was 8.

[ragingnature]

Yeah... It wasn't all bad but...sometimes I really wish I'd had more me time.

[ Demeter put a lot of Persephone's shoulders. Six months hasn't been near enough time for her to unshoulder some of that.

She smiles as he talks about his mother though when he finished with the fact that she's dead her hand comes up over her mouth with a soft 'oh'. If they were in person she'd be unable to fight the need to give him a hug. ]

That's so young... But she sounds like she was a wonderful woman.

I get it. Time is all we have now, so there's that.

[ Parents can do a lot of damage to their children, even when they have the best intentions in mind. It's not something that can be fixed later quickly. Peter would have welcomed that hug, every time he speaks of his mother he feels cut open but he also wants to keep her memory alive. ]

Thanks, Persephone. Yes, she was. And she was strong until the very end. It's been decades and I still miss her like the day she was gone. I suppose there are some things that never go away.

[ Next time she sees him he's definitely getting a hug. ]

I can't say I understand what you've gone through but I certainly do understand missing a parent.

[ That would be sweet and he will thank her. ]

I'd say you understand it plenty. It was just your mother who created you then? All gods can do that?

[ She shrugs. ]

I don't have a father, I know that much. I'm not really sure how I came to be though.

[spacedisaster]

Ah, I see. Fathers aren't that great, trust me, so you're not missing all that much.

In life you'll end meeting people who'll care and love you because they'll chose to, so that's even better than being blood related.

[ragingnature]

Yeah, I guess so.

[ Her only experience with fathers has been Zeus and Ares and, well, she supposes she could see how they aren't that great. ]

That does sound nice.

[spacedisaster]

[ Persephone really needs more dad role modes aside from these too, oh boy. ]

It is. Difficult sometimes too, don't you think that my team and I don't argue on the regular. One is a talking racoon with a trigger temper, he can be a handful.

So just like family.

Pretty much. A really strange and a bit dysfunctional one, but it works for us

I check the network's name list every now and then to see if they might have arrived on the planet but so far I had no luck.

[ragingnature]

It might happen or it might not. The way this world's magic works it's impossible to tell.

I often do the same but then I wonder if those from home would be better off back home.

[spacedisaster]

It's very frustrating. I'm used to things not making sense more often than not but when it comes to how weird this planet's magic functions is beyond me.

Good point. That's probably the case.

[ragingnature]

I suppose it really just depends on the situation your friends are in. In some ways this world is better but in others... [ She frowns. ]

[spacedisaster]

I know already that most of them wouldn't enjoy the way we need to touch each other so much to produce Chroma and stay healthy. Nebula, my girlfriend's sister, least of all. Chances are someone would end with a broken arm.

What about your world? Is Lunatia better or worse than how you lived before?

[ragingnature]

Then it might be better they don't show up.

Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful that I get to live in Olympus. That the TGOEM gave me a scholarship so I could attend school and my friend is letting me live with her while I do. But it's nice to not have to worry about the pressure of being perfect and pure.

Plus, there's someone I really don't like back home and it's a lot easier to avoid him when I'm worlds away.

[spacedisaster]

Probably. I know it's selfish of me to miss them, yet I can't help it.

It's always stressful to try and live up to other people's standards, more so when you're not even sure you agree with them completely.

What does TGOEM stand for?

That sure is an advantage. I'm lucky that none of the Guardians' enemies are around. Was that person giving you trouble? Another god or maybe some mortals?

[ragingnature]

No, I completely understand. [ She offers a smile though it fades as she lets out a sigh. ]

The Goddess of Eternal Maidenhood. It's... It's a really noble pursuit for a goddess to take but I'm pretty sure it's not for me. That it's never been for me. But so much time and effort has been put into preparing me for joining that I...

[ She sighs heavily and slumps, dragging one hand down the side of her face. ]

A-as for the someone I mentioned...he's a god. And he's awful. [ And that's all she's saying on that. ]
