[ After playing around with the device for a bit, now that they finally have time to settle in after the vine madness, Fish has the thing mounted nicely at an angle high enough to give the network a nice view of their head to the top of their shoulders—much like a beauty blogger really. They’ve got an eye for beauty and they put it to use here. They have a bare face at the moment, but it’s still a pretty face with smooth purple skin that fades to lilac on their face, their throat, and the front of their chest. ]

I suppose if everyone is using this thing to ask questions, I might as well ask one of my own.

[ They take a small brush loaded with sea green pigment and draw it over each of their eyelids as a thick eyeliner with practiced, precise movements. ]

Cosmetics and clothing. Has anyone gone shopping recently? I’ve noticed this place is just far too different from the one I know. So I think I could use some guidance. Or some company. Company preferable.

[ They chuckle to the camera and shimmy their shoulders, like a practiced coquettish performer. They pop open a small glass jar of deep purple pigment and another brush. And they quickly fill in their lips with the same neatness as their eyes. ]

There is a lot I want to acquire if I’ll be staying here for a while. So, let me know if you’d like to go shopping.

Oh, by the way. In case we haven’t met... you can call me “Fish”.

[ They wink. ]

Oh really? And what would that “something cool” be?

[ Amuse them, Ed. Fish is genuinely curious. ]

[Ed starts looking around his room. He places the device on the table while he grabs a throw pillow he doesn't particularly care if he loses to transmute something. While the camera isn't pointed at Ed, Fish should be able to hear a sharp clap followed by a bright light being cast on the walls and ceiling. Ed returns, looking mighty pleased with himself when he picks up the camera to reveal a black leather vest with metal studs on the lapel. He might have sacrificed some kitchen utensils for the metal.]

I didn't have a lot to work, so I couldn't make much. Normally I'd add a lot more details.

[Like metal demon skull fastenings with a dragon zipper. Yeah, that sounded pretty cool!]

[At the sight of the finished product, Fish gives a bit of a strained smile. It isn't as horrible as they thought it would be... it definitely spoke to Ed's sense of style but it really isn't their style.

Fish does wear leather too, though. But they're style is a lot more focused on soft lines, flowing fabrics, and opulence.]

Interesting. In all honesty, it isn't my style, but it's good work.

[milkisgross]

Oh, come on-

[Ed blinks. Did they just say that it was good work?! This is literally the first and only time anyone's said anything positive about Ed's style. He recovers quickly enough.]

I guess it's your loss then.

My loss, but I think that vest would definitely suit you.

[Fish chuckles. They genuinely think it does.]

[Ed's wearing his typical black jacket now, so he just tosses the vest behind him for now.]

Maybe I'll take the opportunity to branch out with my style a bit while I'm here.

[And thus the seeds for Ed's fashion experiment have been sown. Is Fish prepared to take responsibility for this?]

I'll have to see what else I can find to transmute. This one came out a bit plain but you kind of put me on the spot. Since you're so knowledgeable on the subject, maybe you can help me come up with new ideas.

[Well, Fish has poor foresight. -1 modifier to Wisdom, baby. They'll roll with it.]

I have a feeling our tastes will clash, though. But I can at the very least tell you what looks good on you.

[Not the answer he was hoping for, but he'll take it. He has literally not met anyone else who would even think of encouraging his tastes.]

Would you like to go shopping together then?

[Ed raises a brow. He's never been one for shopping...

...but with Fish it might actually be an interesting experience, considering how she encouraged his style.]

I guess I could try it. Why not?

[There were his Chroma levels to think about, but looking around shouldn't cost anything.]

Well, let's go then! It's worth a try. And it might be a good experiment in learning more about your style.
