[ After playing around with the device for a bit, now that they finally have time to settle in after the vine madness, Fish has the thing mounted nicely at an angle high enough to give the network a nice view of their head to the top of their shoulders—much like a beauty blogger really. They’ve got an eye for beauty and they put it to use here. They have a bare face at the moment, but it’s still a pretty face with smooth purple skin that fades to lilac on their face, their throat, and the front of their chest. ]

I suppose if everyone is using this thing to ask questions, I might as well ask one of my own.

[ They take a small brush loaded with sea green pigment and draw it over each of their eyelids as a thick eyeliner with practiced, precise movements. ]

Cosmetics and clothing. Has anyone gone shopping recently? I’ve noticed this place is just far too different from the one I know. So I think I could use some guidance. Or some company. Company preferable.

[ They chuckle to the camera and shimmy their shoulders, like a practiced coquettish performer. They pop open a small glass jar of deep purple pigment and another brush. And they quickly fill in their lips with the same neatness as their eyes. ]

There is a lot I want to acquire if I’ll be staying here for a while. So, let me know if you’d like to go shopping.

Oh, by the way. In case we haven’t met... you can call me “Fish”.

[ They wink. ]

[Spy's going to take a moment to just... watch for a second. He's never actually paid much attention to the process of applying makeup, and Fish is doing this like it's second nature.

Also, they're purple. What the hell is up with that?

Once he figures out how to open his video feed, he'll respond. He's old and technology is confusing!]

I haven't had the chance to yet, but I've been meaning to see how much fashion here differs from home. If you would like company, I'm available.

[To his credit, he gets over it pretty quickly. Or at least acts like it. He does have his mask on.]

I don't doubt it. I'm still wrapping my head around this 'alternate universes' business... I am the Spy.

The Spy...

[Fish kind of lingers on that name. They don't know what's weirder, that they're calling themselves Fish or that this man is THE Spy. But hey, they'll roll with it. Weird names are no big deal for them. All the while, they don't let the Spy see that they're a bit weirded out.]

It's a pleasure to meet you. Is that mask of yours a fashion statement?

[The article probably wasn't necessary, but Spy is nothing but honest about what he does for a living. Also, he may have been trying to match how easily Fish calls themselves... well, "Fish".]

Enchanté. Equal parts insurance policy and habit at this point. Although I suppose it could be a statement as well.

[Fish wonders if a handsome face could be hiding behind the mask, but the video probably doesn't give them the best view. Maybe they'll have better luck meeting in person.]

[Spy contemplates that for a moment, adjusting to reach for something off camera. He does need to get out more. He returns to the camera for a moment with a small frown.]

Well. It seems I need cigarettes. Would... what's it called - Mond Mart? Would that be feasible for you?

[As much as he hates going anywhere with the word 'mart' in it, he figures it's his best bet.]
