Apparently some places won't pierce the ears of people being influenced by Cordis. They wouldn't even listen when I told them I'd been considering it for a while.

So, since those places are stubborn, does anywhere know somewhere good to get your ears pierced?

I don't know many people with piercings. They're not exactly popular back home.

[Which may be part of why he's getting them.]

Why not? Lately I've mostly seen humans who love the idea, at least for their ears.

Traditional types think it's an insult to the body your parents gave you. And since they have so much power, younger people are too afraid of losing job opportunities if they get them.

Besides, it's not like your sperm donor's opinion would leave you wanting to do anything but the opposite, and if you thought your mother would mind I doubt you'd be considering it.

I don't remember her being the traditional type at all. I would be worried about getting in trouble at work for it back home, but I can just take them out when I need to look professional.

Unless this all gets resolved and we can go back home within a couple weeks of me getting them done, but I don't see that happening.

There's more efficient ways to get good behavior out of my plants.

Not that threatening them is... quite working out at the moment, but still.

I've heard plants grow better if you just talk to them.

But the idea behind bonsai is more about being able to recreate the kind of scenery you'd normally have to go deep into a forest to find. There aren't many other ways you could keep a Japanese maple tree in your living room.

What d'you think threatening them is, not talking to them? Problem here is that Chroma's a factor. [Which means Aziraphale's a major component in their success now, so Crowley can't stay mad. Also they've already talked about the underlying reasons for said threatening.]
