How does one meet the needs of a living child?
Do they require a place to sleep?
Things to eat?
What else should be given to them?

[ There was no shame in having no perishable food in its home. It did not eat, could not eat even for pleasure, and thus it couldn't feel bad about not having things for Lobco to easily prepare. Still, it reminded itself that in future it must insist a visitor either give it time to collect something for them, or to bring something in the event that it couldn't leave itself.

The Wyrm would not like it to be a poor host.

In answer to her question, it shook its head and made the sign for never, which was only true. In all its training, this was not something it had ever been expected to know. Its Father ate but rarely, and its Mother could make her own food if she so chose. Who else would it have been expected to serve - Hornet?

Weavers had caught and ate their own food. They were proud of it.

So it thought for a moment, and then reached for the pen and pad it kept nearby. It could use the communicator, but this felt more personable. The dragon tried to gnaw at the pen, but it gently prised their jaws from it and back onto the toy, and 'spoke'. ]

[She had expected as much but she didn't want to assume. When they expressed an interest she couldn't help but brighten up. A lot of what she knew she had learned from her parents, and cooking was something which always reminded her of those days spent under their instruction. To be bale to pass on what she knew would be a blessing.]

The dragons mostly eat meat which is something I never eat so I'm not as versed at cooking meat dishes, but I've done it before.

I thought they'd like some steak, so I got that. [Only a skirt steak since she wasn't sure she could manage anything more delicate than that.]
