Ah, hello, everyone! And welcome, those of you who are new.

[Marina's broadcasting in her apartment, perched on a stool with an electric guitar on her lap. It looks well-loved, and it's covered in stickers, some that must have been there for a decade.]

It looks like these dragons are making a lot of us more musically-inclined, aren't they? Well, among other things that are taking priority, of course, but... Ufufu. That aside, how are you all finding it? It's certainly made the city more lively.

[She laughs to herself and starts idly strumming the guitar.]

I suppose it's important for the dragons to find one another with song, but we're all here together already, and yet the changes still want us to connect with music. Do you think that means something important? Maybe I'm just thinking about it all too much.

Maybe so, maybe no. It's definitely felt really neat to hear people singing so much. I'm hoping to join in with more people when I can... Which is much easier with instruments, so far at least.

[She waves with a small laugh. Don't worry, she's not making fun of you.]

When you put it that way, it makes sense. After all, isn't that what the planet's been through with the Chroma drain before we got here?

That... [She blinks a few times.] You're right! It's definitely nice to hear, especially since there's so much variety. You've been shopping, huh?

[Sorry, she's a little distracted.]

[Pidonus sometimes reacts to this sort of attention almost preeningly, but right now, she's super casual about it, just enjoying the thrill of being seen and barely realizing she is.]

Yup. New instrument, new outfit, new season, it's nice!

[She starts to play absentmindedly on her guitar, still watching the screen.]

I'm going to guess the dragons going around are behind the sudden shopping spree, too, huh?

... I mean, there's a glowy rune slightly hidden on my head and suddenly I'm like "want to show more, want to be seen, want to make out with people in public"...

It's perfectly plausible that it's something besides the dragons trying to make us think it's the dragons? Wouldn't be the first time I've seen or uh caused that sort of fake-out. And who knows if it was intentional or just this place being weird again.

So uh yeah. How about you?

Wait, you think it's another conspiracy? Something aside from the dragon thing?

I hope not? I just am aware it's possible. But I hope not.

I think I managed to avoid it so far. At least I don't have dragons breaking into my apartment.

I don't think so? It's a little hard to see back there, though. You got the B, right? Given the makeover.

It's not just the dragons, is it? Between that fiasco with the band and singing to ward off those fantasy-stealing pests... it seems we've had nothing but a need for music for months.

I mean, yeah. I'm juuust self-aware about it enough to recognize it's off, but that doesn't really help me avoid it any?

I'm going to bet quite a few people are going to be mortified while this is done. I'll be fine there at least as long as I don't let it make me defy my rules? So that helps me a bit. Maybe.

It really is just like the moonblessings, isn't it? But stronger and slightly different. At least everyone who's embarrassed will be in good company.

Which makes me wonder: what is it about music, if what this world runs on is physical affection?

I was asking myself the same thing before. I don't think the Lunar Scientia have done any comprehensive studies about it yet...

Song is associated with festivities and socializing in many cultures, so maybe it has something to do with that.

So you're thinking that music's so important because it facilitates us all getting together?

That was my idea, yes. Granted, I'm not personally one who is attracted to music and social gatherings, but these things tend to be based off majority.

I've learned that, if it's not making me hurt others, it's probably easier just to roll with whatever happens, honestly. I mean, it got me to change outfits, that's probably a healthy-ish thing for someone who kinda just keeps defaulting to the old outfit, right?
