[ Malcolm has a concerned look on his face when the video feed clicks on. ]
Uhh... So I discovered this in my bird's cage this morning.
[ The camera flips around to show a yellow and green parakeet in a cage. The bird chirps at the camera before Malcolm focuses on the egg next to her. Considering it's the size of Sunshine's entire body, there's no way it came out of her. ]
This is a dragon egg, right? How did it get in there?
[ He turns the camera back on himself and raises an eyebrow. ]
It keeps glowing red and emitting this low hum sound. Pretty sure I can't keep it. If I bring it outside though, is a dragon going to attack me for carrying an egg?
[ The giant beasts seem pretty territorial, especially when it comes to their young. He's got no intention of taking one on. ]
If you can't tell, I'm pretty out of my element here.

Still gonna pass. I'll probably try to move it outside for one of the dragons to adopt.

Hmmm!
When he answers, the low, smooth tones of his voice definitely have something playfully teasing in them. ]
I imagine two dragons were involved.
[ In getting the egg to happen. Do you need this explained? ]
Are none nearby? They will be protective, as you expect.
[ They might, indeed, attack. ]

Malcolm gives a little eye roll when the man mentions that two dragons were involved. ]
Yeah I figured as much. I mean, how did it get into my apartment? That's where I am right now. There are no dragons in here.

[ This is helping, right? ]
I would imagine it was left there as a hidden place of safety, and that the... parents involved will return to it.
[ If it isn't there when they return, they may be upset. ]
no subject
[ He shrugs. ]
Do you think it got in here by magic? [ Malcolm doesn't entirely know how magic works. ] I can't leave it in there. Either Sunshine will end up destroying it or the dragon might eat her if it manages to get into my apartment somehow.

Does he mean he has been indoors the entire time, and thus the dragon egg appeared perhaps while he slept? Curious, but not impossible. He isn't certain if the dragons here can shapechange as he does, but if they can? Quite a simple task/
Secondly, magic? Entirely possible. Uncertain why they'd both, but possible. However, most importantly: ]
Is sunshine... the bird?
[ Looks like a bird. It is a bird, yes? Just to be clear. ]

is this an ao3 handle? you got fics youre hiding from the rest of us?
no subject
I'm not sure what ao3 is?
no subject
im betting its better than that
you cant just tell me that youre a detective like sherlock and a psychologist like freud and not expect me to fill in the blanks
i bet you walk up in the club
metaphorical dick in hand because its your calling card being freud and whatnot
and bitches are hanging off your arms while youre like
ah yeah
you got them daddy issues let me tell you how to deal with them all while you twerk up on this lap
out there detecting the honies with a snappy briefcase and a concerned voiced opinion for oedipus complex for your loved ones around you
plus if its sherlock youre at least british so you got that london flavor that leaves them the following items
confused
craving tea
and realizing theyre worth more than they give themselves up on that stage
a real philanthropist if you ask me
2/2
right
ao3
its archive of our own where you put your fics about your exploits while youre in the club with said metaphorical dick in hand
you call them your "case studies"
but we all know and its okay because we accept you as you are and at least youre not out there kinning pomeranians like the last guy we had talking to the strippers about their troubles and how college really should mean go to college

Sadly I'm not British. Everything else though? 100% accurate.

If the parents return, they're not going to be angered any further.
If they don't...well. You can cross that bridge when you get to it.
