Hello,
I am looking to test some recipes out in this new place. I don't think they would turn out different, but then I have only been here a short while. Lots of things here seem normal and end up the opposite.
So I ask everyone here to let me know what their favorite kind of cake is. Every place in the world has it's own specific versions of cakes and desserts, I would like to know about them.
[ That and someone's birthday is coming up. It'll be great to have an idea of what to make!]

they are very popular in Japan
together with strawberry shortcakes and jiggly cheesecakes.
Red bean pastries are delicious! I'm sure you'll like them!

They sound fun, I don't think I have ever seen or heard of a jiggly cheesecake. Japan does have nice food.
Really? Do you know anywhere that sells them here?

It's very fluffy, like a cloud! I think it does need some special stuff to be done, otherwise it ends up too dry or something. I ate it at few places back home and the difference was PHEW monumental
There is one small little shop on the second level, across the park, on the corner. They sell a LOT of treats that are not Lunatia based- there are crepes, pancakes, cheesecakes AND red bean pastries.

I would like to try that, do you know if it had an official name at all?
Thank you for that detail; I think it would be worth visiting to see what they have. Maybe they would take suggestions and recipes for things to try out from people who arrive here?

Official name
I just saw it in stores as "Jiggly Fluffy Cheesecake"
I'm not sure if there's a name more official than that one
I think that's what they have been doing! Crepes definitively aren't from around here, one of the owners said. And it's delicious so everyone wins :)

[ Because looking up anything with "jiggly" in the name in this place is bound to end well.]
Then they would have a good business model, I am sure lots of people here miss foods from their homeplaces.

They accept requests I think, provided you know the ingredients of the dish you want to eat. You could give it a try and check it out?
If nothing else, visiting the shop just for crepes is worth it.

Crepes seem very universal....
