Hello,

I am looking to test some recipes out in this new place. I don't think they would turn out different, but then I have only been here a short while. Lots of things here seem normal and end up the opposite.

So I ask everyone here to let me know what their favorite kind of cake is. Every place in the world has it's own specific versions of cakes and desserts, I would like to know about them.

[ That and someone's birthday is coming up. It'll be great to have an idea of what to make!]

Oh, my... this is a difficult question! Such is my love for sweet cakes!

Either way, among my top ranks there is Dacquoise, Fraisier, and Charlotte Russe. They are of French origins, and if you would like to look them up, I can offer you some guidance!

There are a lot of delicious cakes. My country is more known for savoury, but I am happy to learn about others.

French cakes do tend to be tasty if not extravagant. I don't recognize those ones; are they popular?

They are fairly popular here. But as far as my personal tastes go, they still have a fond place in my heart.

I own a cafe, and my incredibly efficient chef could reproduce those cakes. That is, if you would like to have a taste of them.

There's enough time to make yours and others. You can't just eat one thing all the time, maybe some of these other cakes will be just as delicious?

Melon cake? I would never have thought to try a cake with melon in it. That sounds good.

They sound fun, I don't think I have ever seen or heard of a jiggly cheesecake. Japan does have nice food.

I am not familiar with mooncakes. What are they like?

They're made of flour and honey, or flour, golden syrup and lye water, then filled with different ingredients like lotus paste, red bean paste, melon seed or can be done more savory with pork, chicken, ect.

It's really hard to pick a favorite when it comes to sweets and even more cakes. Who doesn't like Chocolate Cake? And Apple pie is a classic but you might already knows how to make those since they're pretty popular.

I think I'll go for Cheesecake.

Sometimes it's just hard to choose; I know my mind changes on what time of day I'd be eating cake. Apple pie is delicious but I've heard some people put cheese on them?

Cheesecake is great, it can be so many different flavors too.

It really is. I love all sorts of sweets so choosing a favorite is like trying to decide what's stars is the prettiest. There's just too many.

Some people put Cheddar cheese on apple pies but that seems like a disgrace. Worse that putting pineapple on pizza. Why would you do that to the pie when you can have a scoop of ice cream melting on top? Much tastier.

It is. I loved the one my mom made but I never learned the recipe so I can't help you with that.
