Hello,

I am looking to test some recipes out in this new place. I don't think they would turn out different, but then I have only been here a short while. Lots of things here seem normal and end up the opposite.

So I ask everyone here to let me know what their favorite kind of cake is. Every place in the world has it's own specific versions of cakes and desserts, I would like to know about them.

[ That and someone's birthday is coming up. It'll be great to have an idea of what to make!]

I am not familiar with mooncakes. What are they like?

They're made of flour and honey, or flour, golden syrup and lye water, then filled with different ingredients like lotus paste, red bean paste, melon seed or can be done more savory with pork, chicken, ect.

That sounds complicated but good, especially since they can be done savoury. Are they native to your home?

I've gotten rather good at making them. They're small but worth the effort.

I grew up with a local merchant selling them in my village so I suppose so? I've heard from other people that at least on Earth they're from a region called... China?

Most small things are.

I know China. Though you're not from China, yet both places share the same dessert? I wonder if someone found a way to share it?

Doubtful. My world isn't Earth and as far as I know, given we can't even travel through space, no one has ever reached Remnant from another world.
