Well, well. It seems it's true, then, that the potential exists for every monthly moon cycle to elicit a different set of changes in an individual. It's not exactly what I'd call reassuring, I suppose, but it's some consolation nevertheless. There are worse things to contend with than bioluminescence — which is proving to be a nuisance, but a tolerable one.

Of slightly more concern to me is the matter of moonlacing. While I recall that it's possible to get by on brief and simplistic methods of contact, it's also my understanding that a minimalist approach leaves a person exposed to a certain level of risk, should an unexpected drain on their chroma abruptly leave them overdrawn, as it were.

With that in mind, I'd be interested in negotiating terms for a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Let me stress that this is not a solicitation. Bold-faced overtures seeking sex will be denied without response. Consider this more an...attempt to establish certain contingencies, to afford everyone involved a little more peace of mind.

Darkness magic? I wasn't aware that Iris had access to more than one. How did you come by the latter?

I was trying to electrify something and a dark mist came out instead.

I think it might be linked to the exalted thing, since I've heard exalted Sanguis and Cordis can learn magic like the dragons and Amegaharans have. I've tried to look into it, but I haven't found much. Lucky us, I guess.

Fascinating. So if exalted Sanguis become dragons, and exalted Cordis become kitsune, then exalted Iris results in...?

A kraken, would be my guess. Sometime before I came here, there was one who tried to raise an army and take over the city, from what I read, and after that some people transformed into something like her.

She's gone now, though.

This beast was confirmed dead? Or did she simply disappear?

I think she was sealed? There are ruins on the Iris moon she came out of. I'm not confident that's solved the problem, but theoretically we know where she is.

Do you happen to know what method was used to seal her? It's all right if you don't.

Only that the Prismals did it. I've been trying to learn more about their magic from the Academy, but the most I know about that right now is that seals exist. I'm looking forward to figuring all that out, though.
