Well, well. It seems it's true, then, that the potential exists for every monthly moon cycle to elicit a different set of changes in an individual. It's not exactly what I'd call reassuring, I suppose, but it's some consolation nevertheless. There are worse things to contend with than bioluminescence — which is proving to be a nuisance, but a tolerable one.

Of slightly more concern to me is the matter of moonlacing. While I recall that it's possible to get by on brief and simplistic methods of contact, it's also my understanding that a minimalist approach leaves a person exposed to a certain level of risk, should an unexpected drain on their chroma abruptly leave them overdrawn, as it were.

With that in mind, I'd be interested in negotiating terms for a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Let me stress that this is not a solicitation. Bold-faced overtures seeking sex will be denied without response. Consider this more an...attempt to establish certain contingencies, to afford everyone involved a little more peace of mind.

I'm willing to talk terms. If something of this nature is of interest to you, feel free to inquire within.

What I mean by contingency is a preexisting agreement. An understanding that should some sort of need arise, the participants involved know in advance what they can reasonably ask for from each other.

No guarantees, no expectations. Just a mutual understanding, to cut down on some of the...awkwardness.

You're not mistaken — that's precisely what I'm describing. A nonexclusive, mutually beneficial partnership.

I have no interest in pursuing anything beyond what said partner is comfortable with, so naturally all terms are negotiable. Something as simple as an extended walk could suffice, though for the sake of practicality I'm not strictly opposed to something more intimate.

I could see fit to kiss someone for the sake of amplifying their chroma, for example.

It can be difficult to settle in if you're experiencing frequent changes from month to month. I've lucked out in that my traits have been the same since arrival, but I've known others to go through extreme differences.

It seems like you're not doing too badly, though. I can also understand the hesitation to jump right into the thick of it with relative strangers.

This is my second Iris, presently. I learned a great deal from the first one, and now am in a better position to take steps toward easing the burden of future ones.

It would be nice to have some measure of predictability when it comes to the changes, however.

I'm open to the possibility. My exact boundaries depend on how well we get along upon meeting in person, but you're right that having people you know you can turn to in an emergency is important.
