Well, well. It seems it's true, then, that the potential exists for every monthly moon cycle to elicit a different set of changes in an individual. It's not exactly what I'd call reassuring, I suppose, but it's some consolation nevertheless. There are worse things to contend with than bioluminescence — which is proving to be a nuisance, but a tolerable one.

Of slightly more concern to me is the matter of moonlacing. While I recall that it's possible to get by on brief and simplistic methods of contact, it's also my understanding that a minimalist approach leaves a person exposed to a certain level of risk, should an unexpected drain on their chroma abruptly leave them overdrawn, as it were.

With that in mind, I'd be interested in negotiating terms for a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Let me stress that this is not a solicitation. Bold-faced overtures seeking sex will be denied without response. Consider this more an...attempt to establish certain contingencies, to afford everyone involved a little more peace of mind.

[Ah. Therion figured Kurama was here, but the fact that he couldn't tell for sure until he makes his appearance--well, that was telling enough. Easy for a guy like this to say, "It seems you have me at a disadvantage," when advantage will find its way back to him like a homing pigeon soon enough. It's something to keep in mind as he slips his woodworking tools away, rises, and shakes leaves and dirt off his cloak.]

[His cloak ends up folded over his arm, his back rests casually against the tree.]

Sorry. I'd usually start something like this with a round of drinks, but you can't even trust plain ale around here not to mess with your head.

Unfortunately true. Is that how you've been occupying yourself since last we crossed paths? Drinking unfortunate ale and suffering the ramifications?

[He draws a little closer, but doesn't make a move to actually try to touch Therion, not yet.]

Or perhaps not just ale. Apple cider, I imagine?

You make it sound like I can't have anything better to do than drink and mope when you're not around.

[Therion tilts his head slightly.]

I keep busy. Cider doesn't pay for itself. If it did, neither of us would be here, would we?

[He draws a little closer, then extends a single hand.]

[Still, he pauses, then shakes his head at himself and rests his hand--tentatively, even now--in Kurama's. As if to explain, he says:]

I don't do this often.

[Whatever 'this' is.]

But at least you don't have to worry about romancing me.
