I've been here for a year and I think I may have a little bit of artists' block. I think it might be the summer heat.
When I first got here I got to do some scuba diving. I haven't gotten to do this for awhile and I'd like to give it another try since it's so warm out. It's probably a long shot, but if anyone here is skilled in it, would you mind answering some questions? While I'm sure there are places to learn - it can't hurt to ask here first.
And a few curious questions.
1. Tell me something interesting about the world you were before here. I'm always looking to hear stories from where you're from. So if you have a story you spontaneously want to share, send me a message.
2. An interesting thing you've learned about this world. The Moons and Chroma don't count, I'd bet that's different from most, if not all, places. Something like a hidden gem of a restaurant,
3. What do you do to get inspiration? New location? Where's your favorite place to get inspired here?
4. Where's your favorite place to pick up some new furniture.
That being said, I have the opportunity to set up a permanent studio here, which should prevent my cat** from spilling tea on stuff when he wants attention.
**Cat pictures can be sent upon request.

My girlfriend runs the cat cafe: Beans! so here's a couple of them.

They're at a cafe?
no subject
Yes. You can come hang out with the cats, get things like tea or coffee, and eat some sweets.
If they don't approach you right away, they're easy to tempt with treats.

I have a few at home, and one that's MY GAL. but keeping em where people can visit is cool. I'll have to come and look.

Yeah, it worked out great. They're usually pretty happy to see someone new, even if they don't look like it.
no subject
but yeah. I'll have to check it out when I get a chance either way!

I wager since you have to ask for her, she'll go home with you when you leave.

what kind of shit do you like hearing about? Just anything?

You know... thinking about it, I guess a lot of stuff I've dealt with might make a good manga. haha. Supernatural shit you know? Fighting demons and stuff like that.
I mean normally you don't tell people this kind of stuff cause it sounds like you're fuckin crazy but here we are on another planet just not caring about that anymore i guess.

[ or, you know, you're from jojo ]
I think people here are relatively inclined to share their experiences because some things even sound less crazy than stuff we see here. Even things like demons, I think.
So you personally fought demons?

Why were you fighting them? For fun?

Anyway.
Yusuke Urameshi, the shittiest kid at Sarayashiki Junior High School, died and got resurrected and became a detective for the Spirit World. That included fighting demons and evil psychic.
I was there cause I'm a dumbass.

[ that is exactly the only issue he takes with this story ]
So he got resurrected, huh? How? Was it like some sort of contract, had to complete some challenges? Something like that?
no subject
Dunno if he ever had to sign anything like a contract but maybe the detective job is basically that. A trade-off without the writing.
He did have to do stuff to get back. I mostly wasn't there except for when he possessed me and broke into my dreams. And I kept his body at my house for a little bit. Like he had this egg that he had to feed with good deeds or something... stuff like that.
no subject
That's weird, but I guess not the weirdest thing I've heard. Pretty interesting, though. I can see the job acting as the payment or contract in order to be revived. Interesting they'd give this opportunity to the "shittiest kid", but you're right - it would make for an interesting story.

Get some irreverent punk who just likes to fight and he'll fight without thinking too hard about it I guess.
no subject
He sounds like someone I know.
[ and doesn't like, but that's irrelevant ]
