Perhaps there is someone here who flies or.. teaches others to fly that may know an answer, here.

I have two young ones that are beginning to spread and flap their wings more and more, so I'm thinking that maybe it's time that they learn how to fly. Or at the very least begin to.

There are some possible avenues I think may be productive so far as beginning their training, but I've also never had to teach anyone to fly.

What is the best way to help them get their wings under them?

Enough. Most of the time it's a decision to be impatient and not listen, from what I can tell.

They are very intelligent, just very food driven.

Then food should be brought to their lessons and held up higher than they could reach just by climbing.

I can arrange that.

That should give them the incentive they need to want to get up higher, and then I can teach them about wind currents. For their first lesson, I think it might be better if I control the wind itself. When they understand how it feels, they can start learning how to fly using natural wind.

Already coming up with a curriculum?

Would you want to meet them, first, so you know what you're up against?

[ Oh. That makes him fumble, for a moment. ]

Visiting is purely your prerogative.

I just think you ought to know what ornery behavior you will be subject to.

I'm currently here with them refereeing a feeding.

I don't know if you're immediately free... But I'll be back later to feed them again.

I'll join you for their next feeding.

[She shows up on time for the next feeding, knocking at the window instead of at his front door like a normal person. Whenever he answers the knock, he'll find her hovering on her feather outside.

She's brought a few applies with her if only because she knows they both appreciate the taste of fresh and sweet fruit, and she doesn't know how long this is going to take. He did mention the little dragons were ornery, after all.]

[ Hiei could have a view on window appearances if that wasn't his M.O. to a tee. Either way, Kagura's knock is more immediately greeted by a very curious fuchsia dragon who's dead tips slightly to the side as she appraises the woman outside, still with a little blood smeared on her maw as she sizes the demoness up.

The fire demon approaches soon enough, with a black dragon who's growing too large for his perch on his shoulders still stubbornly sticking to it, shining black scales catching the light as he dips to confirm it's her before opening the window. Unceremoniously grabbing Kirby by the neck in the process. ]

Wouldn't put it past them to try the jump.

[For her part, Kagura looks amused. She regards the two dragons with interest. They're quite small, but all one has to do is look at their feet to see that they've already begun growing.

She slips into the window, feather shrinking down to normal size in a quick instant.]

Too high for their first try, but they'll manage it soon enough.

[A thought occurs to her.]

You know...I could move the meat around for them to chase, if you wanted them to work on their hunting skills at the same time.

Precisely why I'm concerned with getting them more.. up to par with other dragons. Or at the very least on the same page. [ Hiei pauses for a moment as she mentions moving meat around for them to chase, thinking about it. These dragons in particular are very food driven, so it makes sense as a bait.

And, well.

He couldn't bring them game all the time once they were massive, could he? ]

Yes, let's plan on that as well. It would be good for them.
