Perhaps there is someone here who flies or.. teaches others to fly that may know an answer, here.

I have two young ones that are beginning to spread and flap their wings more and more, so I'm thinking that maybe it's time that they learn how to fly. Or at the very least begin to.

There are some possible avenues I think may be productive so far as beginning their training, but I've also never had to teach anyone to fly.

What is the best way to help them get their wings under them?

They still chirp for food. Or try to tear at your arms if they're feeling impatient.

Speaking of food, though. Once they learn to fly, you’ll likely have to teach them to hunt as well.

I've always been partial to the sink or swim method myself. Just throw 'em out of the nest with an encouraging "flap-flap."

Kuwabara may have a point, you realize, about clarifying what it is that needs to learn to fly.

What avenues have you considered? Color me curious.

Yes, apparently. I’ve had to clarify.

Mainly launching food and keeping it in the air. I think making them work for their meals will do double duty, in a way. They learn, but they also get some exercise at the same time.

Coal is particularly in a mood today. I don’t know what has him so wound, though.

I would think so, but they are not in Lystellus so learning through watching is ruled out.

And my partner prefers if I don't give them a trial by fire.

We talking about birds or dragons? The latter will have an easier time given the wide leathery wings, but otherwise flying should be mostly instinctual. Do you mind if I ask a few questions about the student/s? Just so I can get a better understanding of the situation and identify what they might need to guide them.

If they were born with wings, don't you think they'll figure out how to use them on their own? Sounds like they're already working it out themselves.

Presumably. However as they are not amongst their own to learn how it works, it may be better to at least be prepared if they don't pick it up themselves.

Suffice to say it is a draw, for me.

A black dragon called to the black dragon and there was one nearby that seemed to fit Kurama. So I took them both.
