Does anybody have advice for goldfish-san care.
[The short post is accompanied by a series of poorly-taken photos of... well, a goldfish, the kind you might have seen in the fish-scooping game at the festival in Amegahara. The fish is swimming around a large fish tank, the sort less informed pet owners would keep seven larger fish in, with a few plants and some seashells for some reason. Hey, at least Mai's plain-looking apartment has something in it now.]
Also accepting name suggestions.

[ there’s a break in texts as he’s... looking through the photos to the best of his ability. Otonashi is no goldfish medical expert, and the photos leave something to be desired, but. ]
do you have a filter for its tank? as for names, what’s the first thing that you think of when you look at your goldfish?
sorry no the second thing
[ he would confidently bet money that the first is “goldfish-san.” ]

Goldfish-san... Orange. But that isn't a name.

I think it might need a heater, if you don’t have one.
but, names... you might get a lot of suggestions, so you’ll have to pick the one that makes you the happiest.
“Sunny?” “Kisses?” “Swimmy?” “Aiko the Orange Happiness Fish?” ... that one’s kind of long. maybe Aiko, though. it’s little pet and you’ll love it.

Those sound cute. Though Aiko... More of a human's name than a fish-san's.

[ and the point of a pet is to have a long-term companion, right? ]
you think so? if it was a koi fish, I’d say call it “Calico” or “Rainbow.” hmm... “Akai?”
[ ”red” the orange “gold”fish? that one might not stick either. ]

What would you want if you were a fish-san.

[says the person who had "Bear-san" in another game]

[Goldfish-chan...]
If you truly want a name, perhaps... Buster?
[That's a dog's name, Soundwave.]

Isn't "goldfish-san" the name? It's a pretty cute name.

All goldfish-san are goldfish-san. This one should have a name.

That makes sense! I didn't realize you were calling them all that! It's cute. As for the name... You could name it after someone from back home, I guess? Though that might be kinda awkward if they show up here, huh...

[...that seems kind of like an insult..........]
And I like leopards! They're so cool! Big cats are all pretty interesting, but leopards have always been my favorite!

Well as for an actual name, I'll second what another person said and go for Aiko?

Aiko. Cute. I'll think about it.

[ That aquarium is for something like three times the size of a goldfish, and more of them, right? ]
Well whatever
I'm sure they'll like their space

Like humans. You don't need a mansion. But probably happier than in a capsule hotel.
[Says the person who lives in a little free apartment in the red light district because the convenience store food is cheaper.]

[ Konoka, please don't get swept up in Mai's pace. ]
Well keep an eye on your goldfish, okay?

the closest i had to pets were dust bunnies but if it was with a bunch having two or like draw one on the side of the tank
i think goldfish are supposed to be dumber than bricks but again i dunno that may be stereotyping

i forget things too so i think its back to stereotyping unless im a fish and dont know it
around here thats possible i guess
but fish are popular pets but i got to ask if were saying fishsan ironically or unironically its important
