Hello. My name is Louis, and it’s been about a month since my arrival.

This is something I’ve been curious about since arriving, so I’d like to gauge the current community:

Are you, do you know, or have you ever known a vampire?

If so, I’d like to learn as much as possible about the vampires from your worlds. While one might have in mind a vampire they would call “stereotypical,” that is undeniably a relative label, and it interests me just how widely the differences can range under what may very well now be called an umbrella term.

For example: My race goes by the name “revenants.” For all intents and purposes, I would still classify us as vampires, as we are immortals sustained by drinking blood—but perhaps you might think other criteria more appropriate for determining whether or not one falls into the vampire category? I welcome any challenges or elaboration.

Some further questions for consideration:

• Do your vampires have fangs? Powers, abilities?
• What kind of blood do they drink? How often? How do they feed?
• What does a vampire’s immortality look like to you?
• Are vampires well-embedded in your world’s history, or are they more recent?
• What relationships do you or they have with non-vampires?
• How have other vampires adapted since coming to this world? Are there any particular hindrances you or they encounter?

These are just a few to prompt discussion, but don’t feel limited to these questions only. This is meant to serve as a collaborative gathering of information.

As all of this may be a sensitive or even unpleasant topic for some, I want to offer full transparency from my side of things, and welcome anonymous responses should anyone wish to protect their identity. Please share as much or as little as you’d like, and feel free to ask if there’s anything you’d want to know of me, as well.

actually i did have one more question. how do you find those fruits you need here/ can you buy them from that lumi guy/

I arrived with a small bag of them on me, since I was used to always carrying around a few. I'm not drinking them anymore as they're not replenishable here and I have other options now... but you bring up a good point.

I haven't seen him myself yet so I don't know the extent of his wares, which I guess means it's not impossible that he might have them or something similar.

he always seems like he has just about everything. and i know he can summon items from other worlds. because people here have pets from their home.

how often do you need to drink the fruit/ is it the same as eating for other people/

Interesting... That'll be useful to know. Thanks for the tip. I don't think I'll attempt to bring more from my home world though, since people there would need them more than me.

A large specimen of blood bead could keep an adult revenant healthy for two full months, without excessive exertion. The ones I have are small and medium-sized, so one could tide me over from two or three weeks to a month, maybe a month and a half. Here in Lunatia I have access to supplements in the form of blood pills, which I take every morning.

I can still eat regular food, but it doesn't do anything for my hunger. I just do it for taste.

pills always look hard to swallow to me.

but it's cool that you can eat normal stuff too. even if it doesn't actually fill you up.

i don't really know what happens when people summon stuff from other worlds. but it would make sense that something couldn't exist in two places at the same time. so if you brought more fruit here, it would mean less there. i hadn't thought about that.

There are some people who really can't stand the thought of swallowing pills, but I think it's easier with a drink.

Yeah... I'm glad I can too. Otherwise I'd be missing certain foods without ever being able to eat them again. I can indulge a lot more easily here than back home, at least.

That's just what I suppose happens, anyway. I wouldn't know for sure... If there's a method for copying an object without removing it from the original world, I can see that coming in handy as well.

i've never tried so i don't know much about it, other than people complaining about it.

i guess you could always ask lumi before requesting anything.
