Good afternoon, everyone. Hopefully everyone slept well last night?

[ ... Okay, he knows that's a very awkward way to start a network post, but he does need advice and it might become more personal than he'd care to admit, so how does he...? ]

I'm doing fine myself, but I can't stop thinking of some of those painful nightmares I had last week. This is strange, considering I don't usually recall what I dream about... And I think my dreams had to do with my father?

Did anyone else dream of personal things of that sort? Is there a dream interpreter I should speak to?

Any help would be appreciated.

If anyone is interested in providing some assistance, I'm currently trying to devise ways to earn chroma that do not require one to be seen by others.

[Kind of hard to feel safe when you're part of a species that is more or less constantly viewed with some level of suspicion, and he's not sure how many D&D folks are here.]

I suppose I could try to open a business run through the networks here, but that would require some sort of capital to invest in the first place, which I currently lack.

I'm sure we could think of something, but for now, I simply do not feel comfortable putting myself forth. I'm already a bit of a touch-averse person as it is.

Shouldn't need a lot of explanation. You pay me, I'll teach you how to fight. It doesn't matter how big or small you are, if you're a man or a woman. There'll be handgun lessons, too. Not at the same time; if you can roundhouse while firing a gun, you're not there for the class.

Payment can be chroma or demichroma. If it's chroma, it has to be transferred through our hands. If you know what you're doing and looking for a place to pass that along, I'll take on a few more teachers and a nurse or two. I'll have to see your stuff first.

I have been skulking about reading here, and I have decided to ask a clarification and perhaps some advice. If you would be so kind, of course.

I seem to have run into two issues. The first being that one is not as steady on her feet as she once thought. Two, if there was an opportunity to not complete what has - allegedly - been completed, then are they at fault for not going through with said alleged ending?

That is to say: I am aware of certain events that have not been completed for me - and, indeed, are completed a good deal into the future. However, if I do not do as has been foreseen, then I might save quite a few people terrible fates. Or at least, enough people. I have read that one does not recall the events which transpire here.

If that is so, then how do you bear knowing what will happen and be helpless about it?

Hello. My name is Louis, and it’s been about a month since my arrival.

This is something I’ve been curious about since arriving, so I’d like to gauge the current community:

Are you, do you know, or have you ever known a vampire?

If so, I’d like to learn as much as possible about the vampires from your worlds. While one might have in mind a vampire they would call “stereotypical,” that is undeniably a relative label, and it interests me just how widely the differences can range under what may very well now be called an umbrella term.

For example: My race goes by the name “revenants.” For all intents and purposes, I would still classify us as vampires, as we are immortals sustained by drinking blood—but perhaps you might think other criteria more appropriate for determining whether or not one falls into the vampire category? I welcome any challenges or elaboration.

Some further questions for consideration:

Do your vampires have fangs? Powers, abilities?
What kind of blood do they drink? How often? How do they feed?
What does a vampire’s immortality look like to you?
Are vampires well-embedded in your world’s history, or are they more recent?
What relationships do you or they have with non-vampires?
How have other vampires adapted since coming to this world? Are there any particular hindrances you or they encounter?

These are just a few to prompt discussion, but don’t feel limited to these questions only. This is meant to serve as a collaborative gathering of information.

As all of this may be a sensitive or even unpleasant topic for some, I want to offer full transparency from my side of things, and welcome anonymous responses should anyone wish to protect their identity. Please share as much or as little as you’d like, and feel free to ask if there’s anything you’d want to know of me, as well.

How many of you are non-human?

And of you non-humans, how many of you are robotic in some way?

And for those who are derived from robotics, how did that Chroma stuff generating affect your systems the first time you experienced it?

I've not experienced an energy like this before and data is hard to come by unless you're some type of human. They all seem to suggest it's some kind of energy powered by "love and friendship" or "the ancient gods from the moon" some other inane bullcrap. [ he... may have stopped listening when the answer wasn't one he could grasp... ] I don't buy that. I wanna know what vehicle it operates through and how both humans and inorganics can experience it.

It should also go without saying that humans shouldn't bother replying. Your input is useless to me.
