[Hi. It is a green skinned lady popping up, and it is clear that she's still debating whether or not this is the best idea that she has had. Regardless, she seems to have committed herself, and lets a breath out.]

Hello. My name is Gamora.

[As she has finally caught on that yes, one should introduce themselves at the beginning, instead of somewhere near the middle or end, or you know, never at all.]

I seek those Earthians- Terrans- humans- that are familiar with the year one thousand nine hundred and eighty of your planet. As it is fairly obvious, I am not human, and I am not overly familiar with the body. I wish to know more of the culture during the years surrounding that decade. I've-

[And another pause. A friend?  That seems too impersonal considering, although Peter's terminology doesn't exactly roll easily off the tongue. Lover seems... not quite right either. And she's going to change paths here.]

I seek to obtain a gift for someone who was on Earth during those years. He enjoys music and has the little box you can obtain, but I am looking for other items. He likes the movie about loose feet with the not literal sticks up the ass and the tale of Davis Husslehog and his talking- [No, not ship. What exactly was it...] Vehicle? What else was popular or akin to those?

oh, david hasselhoff? the only other big thing i know he was in was baywatch, but i'm not actually sure if that was an 80s or 90s show... but that one's a little different. it's a show focused on lifeguards, so it's probably not as action focused, if i had to guess. i never watched much of that one, though.

[It was 1989, but it's not like she was going to know that without consulting wikipedia. But upon seeing her response to her question, LB immediately feels bad. Her world was shitty, but at least she had some decent childhood experiences to go off of before things went to shit.]

oh. i'm sorry. :(

but i feel like this world has a lot of shows that remind me of the 80s shows i'd see from time to time if that helps! otherwise if you have some sort of idea of what shows your friend likes, i can try to think of more recommendations.

i don't know a lot about that show, but i think it was more about relationships? though you're probably not entirely wrong in that i remember a lot of slow motion shots of the lifeguards running by the beach to save people. but i think knight rider was more focused on the action aspects.

kevin bacon is trickier. i feel like he's been in a bunch of things? but yet aside from footloose, i can't think of a single thing he's been in. it's a little weird.

ah, if that kind of show doesn't turn him off, then it might not be a bad route to try! there's a lot of beautiful women in that show too, so if nothing else, maybe that will catch his attention.

sorry that i can't be much help with the bacon angle though. :(

ah, i'm glad i could help then! :)

[Truly, though a lot of it was knowledge of the American shows her father would watch sometimes, she feels some swell of pride that even something as simple as remembering even that could actually assist someone here.]

i think he was the main character of baywatch, so he should see him plenty in that.

[Though she wonders why of all the actors, her friend seemed to like him the most. Maybe he was German? But ah, LB didn't want to make broad assumptions like that either, so she just lets it be.]
