Kyr has basically twisted the original founding principles so badly that you wouldn't recognize them anymore. They can be pretty minsid brutal and are just as likely to take over a government as they are to help a people being ruled by an unjust one.
And then there's the fact that between the League and the Sentella the entire United Systems is going to be dragged into a war. The only question is when.

Not so much. The Sentella is fighting against them, but like I said, it's all bound to drag in everyone eventually. Some governments are already taking the Sentella's side while other's continue to stand by the League.
