I've bought a house in Amegahara and I guess you'd call it a bit of a fixer-upper.
I'm doing what I can with it but there's still a lot of work to do. [ And she's kind of winging the shit out of it because what is asking for help...
BUT, HOLD THE PHONE: ]
It has a big garden which is... kind of overgrown.
Anyway, I'm no gardener so I'd appreciate help from someone who knows what they're doing with this stuff. Happy to pay.
Also, anyone who knows anything about taking care of koi.

(he will not feed them croissants, all that butter probably wouldn't be good for them.)]
What a wonderful idea! Something like a summer retreat, but for whenever the mood strikes. That sounds fantastic, really. I must admit, I haven't spent too much time in the place, so I'm all the more excited to see it.
Have you got any plans for how you intend to fix it up?

Something like that, yes. Although it feels kind of self-indulgent. [ Yeah, guess who never spoils themselves. ]
To be honest I haven't thought about it much beyond just getting it up to scratch again at this point. I've never had a place this size to do what I want with before.
I'd like to keep it traditional - although Amegaharans seem to be really into glass stuff, much more than I was expecting. That'll take some care. [ Particularly as she knows several people from home who would probably break most of it. ]

I wouldn't think about it as self-indulgent. You deserve nice things!
[He's decided! It's done. You can't take it back. Can't change his mind. Nice things for you, Tsukuyo!]
Besides, if you like, you can think of it as self-improvement. You said you've never owned a house like this - you'll be learning to look after it! Learning how to renovate it! Think of all the skills you'll have by the time you're done, as well as a beautiful new home!

I don't know if I deserve nice things but I suppose the learning new skills aspect is true.
...I don't think I've ever met anyone as positive as you are, Professor. [ Or someone as capable at spinning something around to put a positive angle on it. TRULY...
Does anything get this guy down? It's bemusing. ]
