What's the deal with tomatoes. They're just messy fruit full of water.

Why does everyone think so highly of them? Haven't found much there to recommend.

but i mean
they're in a ton of foods
pizza
several different types of pastas
they go on so many different things, too
they're good on sandwiches or hamburgers

they're even good by themselves
and they're pretty good for you too

General opinion seems to be they aren't that good on their own. You just eat plain tomatoes?

i mean, they're even better with stuff
but they're good by themselves, especially fresh ones

Didn't like the first one I tried much, and it was a lot fresher than things usually seem to be around here.

On the other hand, it was screaming. Could've soured the experience.

Earlier this summer, yeah. At the market. A lot of the food there screamed, didn't have a lot of choice if I wanted to eat.
