You know, for all that "it was a dark and stormy night" is a hackneyed clichΓ©, I have to admit that I really can't think of a more apt way of describing the state of affairs outside. There's already water collecting in the streets; I imagine it won't be long before the roads and walkways are covered over. And from the sound of it, this storm is going to get worse before it gets better.
Squalls like this weren't altogether uncommon in the place I consider to be my native land; it was a wild place where raw power governed, so it only seems natural that it would have weather to match. I can't deny that even now, I still find a certain raw beauty in the fury of it all. But all the same, these sorts of storms are not to be trifled with, or taken lightly — and they're far better experienced from beneath the shelter of a sturdy roof and solid walls.
If you're not already prepared to weather a deluge, I would recommend remedying that quickly. There's something that feels oddly vicious about this particular tempest, and I won't be at all surprised if trying to brave it becomes hazardous sooner rather than later.

But you've got instincts for this kind of thing. If this storm's making YOU uneasy, I think I'll run out and get more supplies before it's completely impossible. Might be your friend up there has the right idea after all.

[Something's pinging on Demon Psychic Radar™ most likely, even if it's hard to pin down precisely what.]
I hope you're not planning to join him in accusing me of fussing, while you're at it.

Be careful.

If it were just me, maybe I wouldn't risk it. But, well.

Other factors sometimes take priority in value judgments like these.

When you think you've worked it out, tell me. Perhaps there'll be a prize waiting for you when you do.

He does take the suggested while to think about it. And also maybe to duck into the nearest minimart for several boxes of pizza pockets and instant oatmeal. F in the chat for Apartment Roguepath's nutritional balance.]
It would've been what it meant, a while ago. At least to me.
But you agree. That it's a priority. Or a value. Taking care of what's yours, or who.
private forever;
So yes. Well spotted, you clever thing.

Did you give her the flowers?

She liked them. She likes flowers. So, thanks.
