[ The camera is clearly propped up neatly on a desk. He's leaning forward onto the desk, head in his hand as his focus is directly on it. He's wearing red, a rare pick for him, since he knows the white is a bit too much of a tell. And, there's at least a couple sets of visible wings: including the ones on top of his head. ]

I feel like we're getting a warm welcome with this rather persistent rain. For those more experienced than myself: is this common? I want to assume that it's not, since I imagine this city would be better equipped to handle constant flooding.

[ He shifts, leaning back away from the camera. ]

I know I'd rather be learning more about this city, the Prismals, and the types of people who arrived here from other worlds. Everything seems pretty fascinating. The different cultures, the history, the interesting and advanced technology.

So I'll ask, if you could be doing anything right now, what would it be?

Let's pretend that there's no consequences for your actions. You can do whatever your heart desires. If you don't want the world to know, you can be anonymous, though I don't think there's anything to be ashamed of.

[[Tomura is used to the looks, or the chance to look and it doesn't make him shy away from the video feed in the least. For all intents and purposes of what someone could see looking that hard, he seems relaxed and a little curious himself.]]

I'm an honest person, even with contrary belief at times. A lot of people fall into that category, but really I'm looking for the ones that like to find themselves in the constant spotlight. That's right, you're right, actual people calling themselves heroes.

[[He muses a bit more, tilting his head to reach up and give a soft scratch to the side of his neck.]]

No one's a hero. The title is self imposed or imposed by grandeur someone else imposed on another person. So no, I'm not a hero and wouldn't want that insult slung my way.

You're probably right that there isn't any heroes, especially in the sense you mean. After all, if you were truly seeking good you wouldn't want a spotlight. They're unheard of where I'm from, except in pop culture, of course.

I would have never thought there would be a world like you're decribing. Interesting.

[[This catches his interest and the quiet contemplation for a few moments is telling.]]

No, you wouldn't be. Doing good shouldn't be just because you're doing a job and anything else disgusts me.

[[For a moment or two he's quiet again, taking the wrist into his spindly fingers before thinking better of taking it all the way off, but he could get a better look if he pulled it just the slightest away.]]

There is. A place where there's a ranking system and government jobs and greedy people who deny the love of their own family just to do a "job". I could go on for a while, but I like the idea that there's no such thing in yours. What sort of pop culture do they exist in? Just they do commercials and nothing else?

Movies, cartoons, things like that. They're played by actors and aren't actually heroes.

[ He shifts, noticing the adjustment, and then shakes his head. ]

That seems interesting. In films and movies they typically do it for the sake of it. It's very idealistic. So if you're not a hero, what does that make you?

Sounds heavenly.

[[Now that sounded ideal. An actual world without heroes? That sounded like a god damn world he would have wanted to live in.]]

Idealistic and unrealistic. Dangle a carrot and watch your fictitious and perfect heroes scramble for it if they were real.

[[The question, though, that was an easy one and answered quickly. There was a small smile somewhere under the hand that he pulled from his face over top of the dry lips and gaunt face, marred with a few scars.]]

A citizen. Someone who doesn't like how things are. Do I look like anything else?

[ He lets out an amused huff at the heavenly comment. He doesn't know if it's intentional, but he'll go with it. ]

Well, the point of media isn't for it to be real, it's to entertain you. When people are watching a movie about heroes, they want to walk away feeling good. They don't want to walk away shown how dreaded reality is.

[ There's the barest hint of disdain at that, but it fades fast and is replaced with an even tone. ]

Look? Looks can deceive. You seem to have thoughts an opinions, so I'm going to assume you have stories and experience from that.
