Hello. My name is Weiss Schnee.

[ This is how she usually starts her video posts. Best to introduce herself to everyone first, after all! ]

My sister, Winter Schnee, isn't in Lunatia anymore. It's been a few days since, and for those who know her or are... [ A short pause. She's not quite sure if she should say the next word, so when she does, it's accompanied with a very unsure expression and airquotes. ] "friends", the Moon Knights and Lunar Scientia believe that it's because she couldn't produce enough Chroma.

I won't go into the details of the situation of Atlas, our Kingdom, but Winter has been working hard ever since she joined the military. It was nice to see her get to know people here, since she doesn't spend the little free time she has with other people. I'll probably get slapped in the head for saying this, but Winter's not here! So... thanks for keeping Winter company here.

... [ She looks to the side. That was awkward, having to thank a population for being her sister's friend. But she's sure Winter would have done the same for her. While she's here, though, and because she doesn't want to end on an awkward note, she figures out something else to say. ] Oh, and... I suppose since I'm already here—

I'd like to learn how to write songs. Lyrics, specifically. What are some of your favourite lyrics from songs you're fond of? Maybe then I can get some inspiration.

Anyway, that's it. Thank you for your time.

Though I never met her, and do not know you, I'm sorry for your loss. Losing a sister is... it's never easy.

For your music...I know some sea shanties, if you're interested in folk and work music.

Working music, like shanties, are usually used to help set a rhythm and keep moral for sailors as they go about their business. Usually there's a chorus with multiple singers. But yes, I can do my best.

[She thinks for a moment before clearing her throat.]

When I was just a little lass or so my mother told me,
Away haul away, we'll haul away Joe.
That if I didn't kiss the girls my lips would grow all moldy.
Away haul away, we'll haul away Joe.
Away
Ho! haul away! we'll haul away together!
Away haul away, we'll haul away Joe.
Away
Ho! haul away! we'll haul for better weather.
Away haul away, we'll haul away Joe.

I used to have an East Coast girl, but she got fat and lazy
Away haul away, we'll haul away Joe.
But now I've got a West Coast girl, and she's just a daisy
Away haul away, we'll haul away Joe.

Oh Louis was the king of Iris before the rev-oh-lut-eye-on.
Away haul away, we'll haul away Joe.
But then he got his head cut off and it spoiled his constitut-eye-on.
Away haul away, we'll haul away Joe.

Well now can't you see the black clouds are gathering.
Away haul away, we'll haul away Joe.
Well now can't you see the storm clouds are rising.
Away haul away, we'll haul away Joe.

There's more to the lyrics, but it doesn't sound quite right without another singer or two.

[She thinks for a moment. Enty is far from being the greatest historian or musician in the world.]

Hm, the song is rather literal and can change depending on the ones singing it; there's no real deep meaning behind it. What I just sung is just portions of a version that I remember. Typically it centers around a sailor's love interests with women from different parts of the world as they sail through a storm. It can be added on for as long as it takes to get the work done. Such as with the verse involving the king, which was based on a historical event.

In the past it was used for hauling on the sheets and gives vocal cues for when to perform an action.

[And out of all of that Enty wasn't prepared for that reaction!]

Um...yes. Along with many others.

[Really she's probably not the best history teacher.] Does that really bother you?

Why...?

[Gosh Weiss you be asking all the deep historical questions here! She thinks for a moment and the girl could probably hear the almost audible shrug. Enty was perhaps the opposite, not that she didn't have a problem with killing humans (ships in her case), as much as she was used to it.]

Sic semper tyrannis I suppose? He was a king and mistreated his people as did many of the other nobility. So the people rose up against them in revolution. Like I said, other shanties also use some of the events that happen during the time that the sailors are living in.

Hm, when you're watching your children be forced to starve it potentially wouldn't seem so harsh.

[This was all over a hundred years ago though, well into the past.]

I suppose, every now and then it can happen...I'm sorry if I upset you.

I suppose it might be if it's something you're not used to hearing.

[Poor Weiss!]

You're fine, I'll admit that I'm not much of a musician.
