Hello. My name is Weiss Schnee.
[ This is how she usually starts her video posts. Best to introduce herself to everyone first, after all! ]
My sister, Winter Schnee, isn't in Lunatia anymore. It's been a few days since, and for those who know her or are... [ A short pause. She's not quite sure if she should say the next word, so when she does, it's accompanied with a very unsure expression and airquotes. ] "friends", the Moon Knights and Lunar Scientia believe that it's because she couldn't produce enough Chroma.
I won't go into the details of the situation of Atlas, our Kingdom, but Winter has been working hard ever since she joined the military. It was nice to see her get to know people here, since she doesn't spend the little free time she has with other people. I'll probably get slapped in the head for saying this, but Winter's not here! So... thanks for keeping Winter company here.
... [ She looks to the side. That was awkward, having to thank a population for being her sister's friend. But she's sure Winter would have done the same for her. While she's here, though, and because she doesn't want to end on an awkward note, she figures out something else to say. ] Oh, and... I suppose since I'm already here—
I'd like to learn how to write songs. Lyrics, specifically. What are some of your favourite lyrics from songs you're fond of? Maybe then I can get some inspiration.
Anyway, that's it. Thank you for your time.

[That's all she can say on that front, so she immediately switches to the next topic.]
I don't think the lyrics from some of the songs I have work as well in the language of this world, but:
From the night that returns west
I receive the hesitation and uneasiness you left me
When we touch, the melted ice
Quenches my thirst and wets my dry heart
The sky at dawn is almost dazzling
I wonder if there's a world really that important to me?
I wonder if this pain
Can make me think it's natural to have a place to belong
...is part of one of my favorite songs, personally. It might be better to hear the song instead of just seeing just the lyrics, though.

[ Sorry, Weiss just had to... insert that bit there. ]
Are these lyrics translated, then? I never really considered how people here speak all sorts of languages since we all understand each other.
I'd love to hear the song, although I'm not sure if it's possible. Do you have a birdbox? You could record it and send the audio, if that's not a hassle.

Hm... do you like rock? I could teach you some head-banging concert calls!

[ Not exactly a positive response, but not a negative one, either! ]
Concert... calls?
[ Rock is OK, she guesses? She's only ever tried singing rock once! ]

[ He doesn't want to invite her himself because he's never been in a position like this before. Going from intimate to just friends... it's better to just not deal with it and have Takao take her out, then Takao can drag him with if she doesn't mind. And he wants to go somewhere with her so she doesn't have to be alone after losing her sister, but he's awkward... so this works. It's convoluted, but it avoids him having to deal with it himself. ]
no subject
[ Nah, they won't. Weiss knows Midorima values his privacy, and Takao's a good guy. Though maybe they'd talk about Midorima for a bit and share laughs a little before moving onto actual karaoke. ]

Hey, I eh, I never knew your sister but I'm sorry she's gone. She sounds like a wonderful person, helping out your country like that. I'm glad the friends she did make here got to know her at least.
[ As for the song part of her broadcast...]
I know a lot of songs, unfortunately, not a lot of them have lyrics. But hey, I could always speak to the birds for you? They always sing such pretty songs, maybe their words are what you're looking for?
Or even maybe even the Crickets and Cicadas too? I love listening to them sing in the evenings.
no subject
[ So that's good! At least, that's what Weiss thinks, anyway. ]
Wait— you're not talking about the Birdbox, are you? And crcikets? [ What? ] Does this mean you can talk to animals?

I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't know that people could leave because of that.
[ Maybe 'died' is the better word, but he's not going to say that to her. Regardless, it's a stark reminder that he has to keep up his Chroma levels. ]
Um. My favorite songs are jazz standards. I'm not sure if I have a particular favorite one, but they're some of the greatest songs ever written in my opinion. I can maybe find a few and send them to you?
no subject
[ The scientists can say that, but they're not really sure, themselves. It doesn't make sense to her, really. ]
Oh! Do you have a birdbox? You could record songs off of it using your device.

But there is a solution to both you, me, and karaoke! I'll even make Shin-chan come along; he's over here a big tsundere, we need to shake him up.
[It could be said great minds think alike or it could be that these two have been friends long enough they know the other that well. Either way, he is all about helping Weiss; he is fond of her for many reasons, one of which is the happiness she gave his best friend. Two, he knows Midorima will want to keep her company and won't do it without him at this point; this is the time where Takao "drags" him along, they can still gossip about him anyway.]

Just call me Weiss. And I've never tried karaoke before, I hope you know that. I wouldn't even know where to begin...
I wouldn't mind trying, though! Shintarou should come, too.

I can't say I knew your sister, but it sounds like she had a lot of people who cared for her. I hope she returned to your home safely.
I don't know much about siblings, but I'm a singer/songwriter, so I can try to offer assistance in that regard.
Listening to other songs and finding inspiration is important, of course, but I think the most vital part of songwriting is learning to write from your heart. It's harder than it sounds.

You can come over for tea or wine whenever you like, you know. My door is always open to you.
As for your question, there is a song my mother used to sing for me. It’s sad, but I think it’s beautiful as well. The lyric that has stuck with me the longest goes like this:
You’re accustomed to sadness because you’ve seen so much of it / But you can’t bear the pain of a moment of warmth

[ Serge is young, after all. He might not want to drink coffee! ]
That is sad. Is it from a lullaby?

And— no, it's okay, please don't worry about me. I'm... I'm fine. [ Stammering might make it seem otherwise, though. ] You can also just call me Weiss. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Is there anything I can do for you? Aside from the lyrics...I can play other people's work, but I've never really been good at writing my own.

[ In fact, all of what she says cheers Weiss up already. ]
Oh, you aren't going to sing for me? I would have liked to hear something...

[ What with Lucifer having vanished no less than three times, and Lucio twice now...not that he'd admit concern for the latter. Of course not. ]
Though I don't know much of composing songs, I have heard there is some connection between poetry and song-writing. Perhaps you might start there.

I'm sorry about your sister. You don't know me, and I apologise if this is callous, but I was wondering about what it means that she 'couldn't produce enough chroma'. Are they saying that is how we disappear?
no subject
[ Weiss posted to thank Winter's friends, not to ask for buttpats! She's more than happy to entertain questions, too. ]
That's what the Moon Knights and Lunar Scientia say. It's not confirmed, but it's their theory— why moonblessed disappear after being brought here and all. They believe that we're here to help restore their world, which I suppose, is the case now that we live here.
I guess... [ She shrugs. The whole reason isn't something she believes in, but if she did... ] Moonlacing just stopped working for her?
