[Now that the nasty business of Moonblessings and transformations are done, Lancer's ready to talk more publicly. So he appears on video to ask this question rather than texting this evening. The pale, dark eyed man greets the camera with a glass of dark red wine and a desire for distractions.]

This place, or the moons above, seem hell bent on drawing out compulsions we never even had.

[Not going to think on that too hard. Lancer just finishes the glass of red wine he's holding.]

Please humor me if you are not from this world and tell me what you used to indulge in back home. Are you still drawn to it here? Can it even be found here?

Do the moons increase that for you or has it all changed now?

[A lot of questions but he really doesn't plan to investigate this too much. He just wants to hear what other people do for fun.]

[If he looks closely, he might be able to make out that the section he's currently occupying is full of speculative science fiction, though there's a small tower stacked up beside him topped with a few choice volumes by H.P.Lovecraft.

How the Prismals managed to get ahold of Earth literature is anyone's guess.]

I do not have a preference. The information contained within books has equal value regardless of the subject matter. [Today just happens to find him in the fiction section.]

The moon phases have no observable effect on this.

No. [He answers first, then leaves a deliberate pause before elaborating.] 'Distract' is not an accurate word. It implies an activity holding priority over others. I like reading, but it is a low priority. The Iris moon phase does not change this.

I'd consider the thinks I like and the things I want higher priority than the things I am compelled to do, I suppose.

At the present time, my highest priority is assisting the Lunar Scientia's technological advancement. Many of the people designated 'moonblessed' wish to return to their worlds of origin. Accelerating this world's progress will also expedite this process.

[And Lancer, though not human, at least is a legend of an actual human so he's a bit more on that level.]

That seems altruistic. I suppose there are others like that as well. So does that mean you hold no vices you wish to occasionally indulge?
