[Now that the nasty business of Moonblessings and transformations are done, Lancer's ready to talk more publicly. So he appears on video to ask this question rather than texting this evening. The pale, dark eyed man greets the camera with a glass of dark red wine and a desire for distractions.]

This place, or the moons above, seem hell bent on drawing out compulsions we never even had.

[Not going to think on that too hard. Lancer just finishes the glass of red wine he's holding.]

Please humor me if you are not from this world and tell me what you used to indulge in back home. Are you still drawn to it here? Can it even be found here?

Do the moons increase that for you or has it all changed now?

[A lot of questions but he really doesn't plan to investigate this too much. He just wants to hear what other people do for fun.]

The Lunar Scientia Headquarters library's collection is not inconsiderable.

[If he looks closely, he might be able to make out that the section he's currently occupying is full of speculative science fiction, though there's a small tower stacked up beside him topped with a few choice volumes by H.P.Lovecraft.

How the Prismals managed to get ahold of Earth literature is anyone's guess.]

I do not have a preference. The information contained within books has equal value regardless of the subject matter. [Today just happens to find him in the fiction section.]

The moon phases have no observable effect on this.

Honestly? It's gotta be sleeping and food. There's way more options here with the latter than I ever could've gotten my hands on back where I came from before, and uh... With the moons? Definitely.

I must admit that I am not beyond gluttonous ways. I am sure the Chroma was well spent.

[Lancer needs Chroma to even exist but he's a special case and won't fault others for being less frugal.]

Is it a sweet tooth that overtakes you or will any food satiate your vice?

Usually I'll go for whatever I can get my hands on, especially if it's something I can chuck in the microwave for a couple minutes. Or have delivered. I dunno if they've got anyone who does dessert delivery, but I also haven't really, uh... looked around yet. Y'think they might?

I have a lot of issues with sex and intimacy. Iris makes me able to let go. I don't think I would be able to without it, not as freely as I do.

No. It's too deeply personal to me. And I was hurt. Have been hurt. Even without my anxiety and nervousness, that doesn't go away.

Back home, I mostly swam and read with my free time. I'm not sure that counts as indulging, unless you count staying out way past my bedtime to get more time in the ocean.

Here, well... I still do both, but I also spend a lot of time generating Chroma.

Hobbies unrelated to goals you want or need to accomplish count. Do you feel you have more time to indulge them here? Do you feel compelled to indulge them here?

[He wasn't going to pry but now he is sort of curious. Others don't have the limitations and vulnerabilities he does. So he takes Chroma more serious than others have to.]

As for Chroma, I see it as a necessity. Do you seek it in excess?

I guess I would, with crystal beach and the Lunatia Science Division being so close, except that now a lot of my time is taken up in training, which is very relevant to a personal goal of mine.

[Namely, never get murdered by a horrible old man again.]

And I don't think "seek" is the right word. I'm pretty touchy-feely by nature, so I just wind up generating way more than I need easily. Not because I'm trying to but just because I really like to touch and be touched.

Those are things I am more familiar with. I have been abstaining from battle for now though that may prove to be too much a distraction to keep up.

You speak of hobbies, no? I still do the same here if I can. Cooking, sewing, gardening. The entertainment is new. [Some of those books and shows certainly are Something.]

I certainly do not change into any form of beast back home, unlike what the moons do here. [She doesn't go into detail regarding the mental compulsions.]

I indulge a bit when it comes to wine. As for hobbies I fear I have so few beyond the desire for battle.

I avoid all those things during certain phases of the moon at present though.

Also, she can relate, only because she transforms into something akin to a mermaid, and that's not always the most convenient of changes.]

Wine? [Can already see him chatting it up with one of her brothers, France.] When you say you desire for battle, is this like a one on one spar, or like a war battle?

Hmm... well, back home I liked tending to my potted plants, watching the birds and bird hybrids I set food out for, and listening to the radio. It was pretty convenient since outside of the plants, I could accomplish actual work while I indulged my hobbies a bit.

It’s pretty similar here, although I don’t have the same kind of work to do. I do think the way the, ah, radio works here has its benefits and drawbacks compared to the one back home. It’s kind of nice that you can arrange things so you can just listen to your favorite radio show whenever you like instead of having to worry about missing it, but you’re also kind of inundated with choices in comparison. I guess it’s a wonderful problem to have, though...

I suppose some here are granted some fortune along with the situation forced upon them. I still have much to get used to when it comes to this device on our wrists myself but I should look into their choices of music.

... what sort of indulgences would you mean? I haven't experienced anything of that sort since my arrival. I'd enjoy dancing, but, I haven't wanted to do more of it here.
